I ordered a traditional German Chocolate Cake for my birthday and I asked "do you use German Chocolate for the layers, and a coconut pecan filling?" I was told yes, but what I paid over $80.00 for is a devils food cake, with a very small amount of coconut icing between the layers and a butter cream icing. This is not a true German Chocolate cake! I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Floyd and Blackies.

I love the look and feel of this place, definitely 10/10 on the atmosphere, and the food is delicious, which is why it pains me not to give them a 5 stars review. The service is just inconsistent and lacking. From not greeting people as they come in, or even taking a while to acknowledging your presence, to full on taking over 10 minutes to prepare your coffee order on a non-busy day becase they were having a chat amongst themselves to the point that the poor girl at the register took over making the coffee as well because the orders were piling on while 4 others were just chilling and chatting behind her. I would say that maybe 3 of the client-facing staff members actually care and provide excellent service, so depending on the day/time you visit, your experience might be different.

Had the red velvet cake, and a couple of cups of coffee, the barista was helpful (it was our first time there) with our order, and he explained everything. The view of the river is normally a great view, but due to "Helena", there is some flooding nearby.

Floyd & Blackie's serves a variety of great food in a wonderful setting in Cramerton. I've been there for dinner at least 4 times this year and have tried different items each time. All have been fantastic! Don't leave without trying the Brussel Sprout appetizer. I've also been there numerous times for a treat. Ice cream, muffins, cake and other sweets along with coffee. All good, but my all time favorite is their Coconut Cake. I highly recommend the cake and I am a self described connoisseur of cake!
Amazing food and exceptional service! Alyssa was the server for our table and she was absolutely wonderful- she treated us like family! The Pimento Cheese Fried Chicken Sandwich, Korean Beef Bulgogi Rice Bowl, Steamed Pork Dumplings were all delicious!! It’s a must try for dinner, you will not be disappointed. Oh, and make sure to finish off dinner with some of their flavorful icecream.

This is the best place to get coffee. The decorations are so cute and the service is great. The employees are friendly and quick. It’s a great place to work or if u want some peace and quiet time. Also the bathrooms are so clean
