Hillside Grind Coffeehouse

I really want to like this place more but the wifi is never working, sometimes they are not actually open during posted hours, iPad for credit cards goes down, “be right back” sign is up with NO one insight etc. It makes it really difficult to ever get any work done or want to spend money here.

We are from out of town and stopped for coffee here. The barista Kinsley not only made us some wonderful cortado but was very knowledgeable about the surrounding area which helped us find some things to do for our vacation. Wonderful way to start the day.

I went there to do some homework, its a great atmosphere no yelling just people lightly enjoying themselves playing 8 ball pool or having discussions. There was a prayer board which was interesting, I guess it may be more of a community than just a coffee place.

Great find of a coffee shop with helpful attentive service. Great vanilla latte.

I love this coffee shop. It's the perfect place to get away from school and get studying done, or hang out with friends. I have been coming to Hillside for the 4 years I've been at WCU and it's always been the perfect place to come for coffee. It's also dog-friendly!

Great friendly place to get flavored expressos or lattes. Plenty of places to sit inside and outside and relax or have a meeting.You can even chill out in hammocks outside on a nice day.Free Parking is on the left side in the gravel parking lot.Commuter students can rent a parking spot in the parking lot on the right to always have a spot close to the academic buildings, UC, and Caf.

Didn't spend too much time here but from the moment I walked in I was impressed. It's a great building! The staff was super friendly and welcoming. We ordered a couple of coffee drinks and they were perfection. It seems like a really great place for the college kids (yes, I'm old ?) to hang out in. We were kind of rolling through so we only got to take in the scenery for a short period of time. I will definitely be putting this on my list of places to head back to and spend more time in.

I go here every week at least once or twice and the service I receive is prompt and courteous. It’s a great place for coffee, quick bite to eat, or to do homework. This is now my go-to spot as the Hillside Grind employees always provide great customer service!
