Great draft selection and they even had cyser (a style of mead) on draft! We ordered the burgers and asked for one medium and one medium rare. They got the temp perfect. The fries were really delicious and crispy but the real winner was the sweet potato fries. Crispy and soft and some of the best I have ever had. We popped in for lunch one day and look forward to coming back to try the dinner menu soon!
First visit, can't wait to return. The staff was awesome! We had Shelby for our server and she was wonderful! The ambience, food and drink were all excellent! It's nice to see a restaurant doing something creative and awesomely delicious with mocktails! This crew makes their own simple syrup and spicy tinctures. Very memorable!

Pretzel bites were good for an app. The Atlantic salmon was very good. Cooked on point. The beef stroganoff was tasty but the portion was around 2 cups. Very pricey for the amount. No house bread or salads as part of the dinners.

I wasn’t going to leave a review, but the more I thought about it the more I talked myself into it. First, the good. The staff were lovely. They were inviting and warm and engaging. The atmosphere didn’t really matter because I was with a group of friends.The sad/bad. I ordered stroganoff and club soda. That’s it. My bill was nearly $40. The stroganoff portion was what you would expect on a child’s menu. I’m a small girl, barely 120 pounds. I left there hungry. No little tiny salad or a single piece of bread or anything to go with it. Just this very tiny small portion of beef stroganoff. I’m telling you, it was small. It was good, but at $40 I should not have left there hungry. We had more than six people so an automatic 20% gratuity was added. I was perfectly fine with that. The service was excellent. I was not, however, fine with receiving a child-size portion for my adult-cost entrée.

Wow! What a great experience. We're in town for a couple days visiting friends and took a walking tour of Davidson University. We decided to get something to eat and wondered down Main Street and found the Flatiron. It was about a half hour until they opened so we had to wait a bit. Once inside, the service was great and the food was fantastic. When the chef and sous chefs names are on the menu, you know this is a serious foodie place. Great beer selection and specialty cocktails on the drink menu. I didn't notice that the Caesar Salad had an anchovy dressing before I ordered and asked the server if I could have the dressing on the side. She said it wasn't a heavy anchovy flavor and ended up bringing me both regular dressing and a ranch dressing on the side. She was right, I could barely taste any anchovy! Our party had the roasted chicken, beef stroganoff and Flatiron burger. Chicken looked fabulous and the stroganoff plates were scraped clean ! Might have been a little salty thought. Loved the burger and also had to get a side of the risotto just because it sounded so good. We ended up sharing the risotto. This was a Sunday, late afternoon and when we left the place was really filling up. Definitely worth the stop while in Davidson NC!

My husband and I enjoy sitting at bar at Flatiron on a regular basis. Met girlfriends for dinner and there are no words to describe how bad the service was. Embarrassed I suggested going there. Won't make that mistake again. Rarely saw our waitress. Tried to order a glass of wine but girl checking on us was too young but still didn't send our waitress over for a LONG time . Avoid dinner at Flatiron. You will grow old waiting on service.

We were so excited to try this restaurant. We went with our smaller children so we definitelyfelt rushed we could tell they wanted us out fast. Then a gentleman told us our 17 month old can't play with ice because he's tables were "brand new". After that we definitely felt uncomfortable because of the mans domener . He claimed the tables were brand new but after a glance all tables were scuffed and chipping. No coasters were served for drinks only plate mats for plates. Feels like they want a more adults only customer which is fine just state that next time !
