Excellent higher end restaurant with great food and atmosphere. Friendly staff and really nice atmosphere that would be great for a special occasion.
we've been here several times over the years, and have always loved it. So, i will consider tonite an "off night" beef tartar app was light on the tartar, and heavy on the foliage. Personal preference i guess, but i like to focus on the tartar..not the amount of salad the person prepping the plate felt like they should place. Originally ordered the bone in pork arista. server recommened the lamb. Was written up as on the bone. there was no bone. the lamb was sliced. It was offered medium rare, and i found it a little tough. Should have gone with (something else). Not terrible...just wouldnt have pushed this dish. someone at our table had gnocchi. Also, heavily endorsed by our server (who was very pleasant and attentive). Was some version of thanksgiving meets gnocchi. Way too salty. didnt eat much of it . Pork friend potatoes, excellent. Crispy Oyster App... excellent. two other pasta dishes... very good. Just my appetizer and two of our entrees were a bit "lacking" We'll come back. Just an off night i guess.
Our family celebrated a birthday at the Chef's Table last night and would absolutely recommend the experience. The personal service and hospitality along with the wonderful culinary experience just top notch! We can't wait to do this again soon!
Very expensive, VERY VERY small servings. Service good. 4 adults used to dining in Berns in Tampa, same price but 10% quantity, finished eating in under 15 minutes.
The food was so good at Kindred: a giant salad filled with fresh and interesting tidbits, savory fried oysters, a dreamy pea soup, several unusual and delicious pastas, and a short but nicely curated list of wines to wash it all down. The service was very friendly and attentive, including the instant production of a menu edited to accommodate dietary restrictions. But the preciousness of the presentation was exhausting. Our server cheerfully dragged us through the entire menu, dish by dish, delivered an endless, "Portlandia"-esque description of every ingredient, advised us on exactly how many plates to order (and got a little pushy when they didn't think we'd ordered a sufficient number) and went on and on as we got hungrier and hungrier. Eventually the room fell into darkness as the sun set and no one adjusted the dim lamps overhead.
Our experience at Kindred was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. The moment we walked in, the hostesses greeted us warmly, setting the tone for what would be an evening of exceptional hospitality—everyone, from our server Maria to manager Josh, treated us like cherished guests. Maria’s detailed explanation of the menu and her intuitive ability to read our body language made us feel truly taken care of and helped us make the most of our meal. We sampled nearly half the menu, and every dish was excellent, but the rock crab appetizer with sesame sourdough bread, the pasta with tomato sauce, and the halibut were particular highlights that we still talk about. The entire Kindred team’s passion for service and delicious food made our visit unforgettable, and we can’t wait to return!
Just reopened for brunch. The food is amazing and very unique. If you get the chance to have Sophia serve you she will delight you. One of the best waitresses I have ever. BAR NONE
Had a great experience. Great food and wait staff.

Kindred has a beautiful ambiance and a creative menu, but unfortunately, our experience was impacted by very slow service. From start to finish, the meal took about three hours, with noticeable delays between courses. It took nearly 20 minutes to receive each round of drinks, which made the evening feel much longer than it should have.
The food had some highlights, but several dishes were overly salty, which made it hard to fully enjoy them. Given that Kindred has received awards and recognition in the past, it feels like they may have lost a bit of their fastball. The overall vibe is still lovely, but the execution didn’t live up to the reputation.
With more attention to timing and consistency, Kindred could return to the form that once made it a standout.

Food is terrific. Celebrated an anniversary and was treated very well by the staff. Highly recommend giving Kindred a try. You won’t be disappointed.
Upstairs was extremely loud and our server couldn't answer a single question we had as first time visitors. Once it got dark there were street lights nearly blinding those facing them inside. The food however was absolutely amazing. We tried most of the menu. Maybe worth it in a different part of the restaurant.

Kindred is everything you would want in a restaurant- delicious food, amazing service and a lovely atmosphere! The house made milk bread is so good, the tuna crudo was so fresh, a perfect balance of flavors, and the squid ink conchiglie was amazing! I wanted to slurp the sauce. Will definitely be coming back.

I had a wonderful experience. My server was great. We tried a lot of items. First, the rolls were so so good. So soft. We had the fried oysters for the appetizers loved them. I had the squid ink conchiglie. The sauce was amazing. I joked with my server about how delicious it was as I showed her my empty bowl. The cinnamon roll was the best I had! Also get the oaxaca flaca cocktail! So good
