Unfortunately, my first order via Grubhub was a bad experience. The veggie noodles had an extremely strong smell and are overly oily and vinegary, making them inedible. The aloo tikki chaat was overloaded with yogurt, and the they were undercooked. I understand others may have had better experiences, but this was disappointing enough that I wouldn’t order again.

Masala Mastee Davidson NC! This place has hands down the best Indian cuisine I’ve had, they even have a full on buffet on Sundays. The service is fast and friendly. The food is great, same for the dessert, I would recommend trying the butter chicken with rice and naan bread , you will thank me later.

Food was very good. Portions were very small. I was still hungry after ordering apps and dinner entree. My wife and I both had Chicken Tikka masala. Service was good. We did wait over an hour before our entree arrived... other than the king wait... it was good.

I ordered the butter chicken (indian hot), indian pickles, and garlic naan. The butter chicken was excellent. Very well spiced and very tender. The flavor of the gravy was well balanced, which can be difficult with fennel. The rice was cooked perfectly (slightly al dente). The naan was just a bit crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The indian pickles were also well spiced and very flavorful. I found the portions more than I could finish in a single sitting. I will certainly visit again next time I'm in the area.

Ken and his staff are doing an amazing job at Masala Mastee! The vibrant aroma of Indian spices welcomes you from afar as you approach the entrance. Nestled along Main Street in downtown Davidson, we sat outside on their front porch space to take in the lovely scenes of the night.
Our waiter did a wonderful job of helping us navigate the menu and recommending dishes that we would enjoy. My date and I were impressed at the many vegetarian options to choose from! We order the Pakora Platter to start. It offers a variety of fried fritters and samosas. It was fantastic! The fillings were so flavorful. It was a symphony of herbs and spices that paired wonderfully with the sauces that come with it. The dough was golden and flaky. Highly recommend. My date and I had an entree of Aloo Bangain that is served with jasmine rice and an order of naan. Again amazing! The eggplant and potatoes were so tender and flavorful, caressed by a lovely sauce with a great blend of fragrant herbs and spices. The flavor profiles were outstanding.
I highly recommend Masala Mastee to everyone in the Lake Norman/Charlotte area. The menu has something for everyone. The flavors and presentation are 5 stars. The staff's knowledge of the menu and attentiveness again 5 stars. The lovely location 5 stars. If you enjoy Indian cuisine, or are interested in exploring it for the first time, Masala Mastee will go above and beyond to provide you with a amazing, memorable experience.

This one really hurts to write. We dined in Masala Mastee and the experience was unparalleled; the food was great and the atmosphere was amazing. Today we ordered takeout and I hope everything is okay but the food was less than perfect…..the Samosa Chaat were not even completely cooked. I hope this is a one off and not an indication of falling standards. We really love this place. Damn.
