The three serving sizes were small for the price, beans were not hot and watery, the queso ($11) and sauza was watery . The pableno pepper (chili relleno) was warm and sour.
The service was minimal.

Had my birthday dinner here tonight and it was wonderful! I have Celiac disease and our server was very knowledgeable and accommodating. The gluten free chicken bites appetizer is so good! I will definitely be back for those! The open faced enchiladas are very fresh, but personally I'd prefer closed, rolled enchiladas smothered in sauce/cheese. Open faced was difficult to eat. Wine selection was really good and they have a great variety of reds and whites from Chile and Argentina. All around, it was a good time and we look forward to coming back and trying something different from the menu!

Terrible food - this is not a mexican restaurant. This is an insult to Mexican cuisine and even to Taco Hell.

I ordered chicken enchiladas - they put come grilled chicken on a store bough corn tortilla, poured sweet mole sauces on the chicken also from a grocery store, added some think pieces of shredded carrots and cabbage, topped them off with crumbled cheese and served them. Basically they were two tacos.

The moment you tried to life the "taco" to eat it all crumbled because everything was soggy.

Seriously - the owner can do a bit better.

Service was poor. We were a party of four tonight. While the initial drinks and chips and salsa came out within a reasonable time, then the waitress disappeared for a half an hour!! We ordered appetizer of queso, but the waitress never came back to see if we needed more chips so it sat on the table half uneaten. The margaritas were weak, so I wanted a second one but sat there looking at an empty glass for a half hour because she never came back. Where did she go? The food was good but they got my order wrong and I had to wait yet again. Will not return due to poor service. Don’t sit us outside then ignore us. Thumbs down! Not worth the $100 price tag even if you are 5 minutes from me.

Went for dinner and it was great! I absolutely love the atmosphere of the place and how it was in the heart of Davidson. I got the pibil pork and it was wonderful & very flavorful. My son got the kids steak quesadillas and he kept telling me how juicy and tender the steak was. Staff was also wonderful and very attentive. Will definitely be returning!

Got a creamy lobster cauliflower soup for take away. They gave me a LOT OF soup for very reasonable pricing. This soup is a true banger. It’s rich, savory, dense, and has all the qualities good soup’s supposed to have. Although I just ordered one thing, they gave me chips and salsa, which were also amazing. The staff was nice too. It was a great treat for myself, and I’m planning to visit and try their other menu items.

My family went to Mestizo yesterday at 4:45. It was obviously not busy at that time. We were seated and given water and menus We ordered our drinks which took quite a while to get and we were then given chips and a bit of salsa. The waiter came and took our orders. We waited and waited and then the waiter came back to our table and asked have you ordered He said oh yes you have. We noticed that other customers that had come in after us had gotten their food. My husband went in and spoke to the owner or manager and all he said was it would take another 20 minutes.
We left. Will never come back
This owner or manager just totally lied about the consumption of alcohol that anyone in our group had and he told us it would be another 20 minutes for our food after we waited over an hour. Yes we left without paying, which I have never ever done in my life.

Once again we had reservations for 5 o’clock and got there at 4:45. There were two people sitting at the bar, and possibly two more small tables with couples dining. If that’s busy then Mestizo is in trouble. We were never informed that they were busy or that we would have a wait and as I mentioned before, two other tables that were seated very much after us got their food in an appropriate amount of time

Dining outside, so no particular atmosphere. Didn't get my order right and what I got wasn't that good. My husband did like his food, but I doubt I will return. Unfortunate because this place is very convenient and visible. There should be lines out the door and down the street. Why are there not? Food and service were substandard for this town.
