Property is located in area convenient to Davidson College. Area is quite nice. The hotel is over due for a refresh . Carpets , bedding, mattress all tired. We had “suite “ that has very small room with second TV and convertible couch which was deemed marginal by our grand daughter. HVAC blew cold air right at bed so you were either a little too warm or cold. Bath room was also marginal.

I am staying at the Hilton Homewood Suites in Davidson, NC- it is under renovations but it’s almost 9:30 pm and they are drilling and hammering, moving heavy equipment. Everyone at the hotel is complaining about it- we can’t sleep! The girl behind the front desk said there is no night manager and that the owner contacted them to stop working as they were supposed to stop each night at 6:40- they are ignoring the owner, the front desk girl said she is the only one here and she can’t do anything about it

Think twice before staying in this hotel. We have been staying in Hilton properties for over 20 years and have never had an experience like this one. We checked into the room and while the room was rather dim and needed updating, it was tolerable. However, there was vey poor lighting. The recessed light in the kitchenette area flickered when turned on, there was a table lamp missing a light bulb and a floor lamp with a light bulb that did not work. There was no bath mat available for stepping out of the shower. While these were issues, they could have been overlooked had it not been for the live bug in the bed when I pulled the spread back. We immediately packed up and checked out. The women at the desk said the manager was not available because it was around 9 pm and that she could not do anything about it but would inform him. We left and stayed in the Hampton Inn in Cornelius which was great. We contacted Hilton to see what they could do for us getting a refund and they informed us that they could not do anything and that it was up to the individual hotel. We tried calling the manager of Homewood Suites in Davidson and he never returned our call. I realize that many businesses are having issues with hiring staff but this is unacceptable. We will now be staying in Marriotts!

My oldest son and I were traveling to the area for a sporting event (weekend). The Homewood was a great host. From the friendly and welcoming staff, to the cozy rooms, super fast wifi, and breakfast the next morning we were completely satisfied and more! We’ll be back again soon, and thank you Homewood Suites Davidson team.

Terrible experience. To keep it short and sweet I had to walk down to the front desk 3 times to get things corrected. 1st time: Went straight to my room upon arrival because the front desk confirmed that my digital key would work.it didn’t, It gave me an error. No worries, stuff like that happens. After getting a physical key I unlock the door and walk into trash everywhere, bed isn’t made, bathroom is dirty. I’m livid at this point. I have a cranky 3 year old, bags, food, drinks so walking down again is so incredibly annoying. I get that situation corrected, head to the other room and the electronic door is broken. My physical key or digital key would not work. So I head down AGAIN to resolve the issue. We finally get to our room and it’s so dingy, grit on the floor, dust everywhere. Do yourself a favor and pick another property!

I stayed at this hotel when visiting my cousins in Mooresville. The people at this hotel don't seem very friendly or welcoming. And I had to sign something to bring my pet into the hotel, which I do all the time, but this one had all these things of what not to do and how much I would get in trouble if I did. Most of the places I stay say that they are glad we brought our pet, and sometimes even have a sheet about local veterinarians or a bag of doggie treats... The room itself was fine, although this hotel is very dated. There are very few plug-ins for recharging in the room, and I suspect that's one of the reasons they are renovating the place. The main issue I had was that I was looking for one of those small containers of dishwashing liquid so I could wash a couple utensils before I left. When I called the front desk, they said they didn't have any dishwashing liquid and then if I wanted to clean any dishes I would have to run them through the dishwasher. I figured I would just wash these utensils at my next stop. Kind of a pain.... On my way out, I suggested that they have a few bottles of dishwashing liquid at the desk for people that want it, and one of the women interrupted me and said, "We don't have that here. We just have the powder." I felt like I was in New York City with this kind of attitude. I then told them that I was making a suggestion, and told them I would never return to this hotel. I really don't think they cared. Definitely not my usual experience with Hilton Hotels and being a diamond member. I hope they get their act in order, and start being friendlier and more customer oriented. I used to be a customer service manager, and if this for me, I would have run down to the store and got the dishwashing liquid for the guest or somehow worked out a solution rather than just saying Tough luck, Charlie. Bad vibes.

I stayed here 3 nights with my family and the stay was a series of issues. I called 2 hours before our late arrival to ensure the pullout bed was made up so my son could go straight to bed when we arrived - never happened and we had to find linens and do it ourselves at 130am, the next day we were out all day but the room was not cleaned and we had to go get dry towels, the following day we asked 3 times and the room was never cleaned. The dishes in the kitchen were dirty and caked with leftover food and the furniture was dirty and dusty. The bedding was gross and not clean. No safe or iron in the room??? The walls are thin, nighty was could here the person above us using the bathroom and then flushing we were put in a room next to the exit, hotel laundry, and banging doors The breakfast was cold and embarrassing daily and you had to share with housekeeping staff who always cleaned out fruit and warm eggs daily. The front desk staff most days was on their phones on personal calls or facetime which made communication hard I asked to connect with the GM but never heard from them and they were never available. My son is planning to attend Davidson College and we will never stay here again based on the staff and property condition I am a Diamond Member who frequents Hiltons a great deal and this was the worst experience I've ever had

My family had 2 rooms for a 3-night stay. We killed a very large cockroach in one of the bedrooms. Disgusting and disappointing. When we arrived, the a/c in one of the bedrooms had a problem and was incredibly clanky and loud. As such, we couldn't use it that first night as it was too loud for sleeping. We were told maintenance wouldn't be available until the next day--maintenance did come and fix the problem the next day, and we appreciate it. The ice machine on our floor didn't work. One room didn't have a "do not disturb" sign and when my daughter went to the front desk to get one, there was no one there to assist her (and she waited for a while.) There is no guide for the TV, and the on-screen guide doesn't work...so there's no way to find a channel, etc...and the TV signal kept freezing. We requested for both rooms to be serviced, but only one was. When we tried to check out after our stay, the young lady who was on duty (who was very courteous) wasn't behind the front desk--she was on her way to the bar area with a "to-go" food container. She said she would check us out later. When I told her about the cockroach, she told me to email the general manager, which I did (and sent the photo), and I have yet to receive a reply. We paid almost $2, 000 for our stay, and we should not have big cockroaches in our bedroom. Thank goodness we saw it in time to kill it as it was heading to the bed...and finding it amongst our bed covers would have been even more horrifying.

For a nicely appointed room and common areas in a great location there are a few things that fail to make this stay a 5 star rating. Their T. V.s are antiquated and not smart. No way to stream or watch movies other than HBO. Their breakfast meats and egg options are terrible tasting. I've stayed at lesser hotels with better food - and even McDonalds is better (which I don't eat at often).

Stayed at the Davidson Homewood Suites for three nights during the last week of September 2022. Honestly, I read many bad reviews about this hotel and almost canceled and booked another hotel. Luckily, there were enough good reviews to convince me to take my chances and keep this reservation. I'm glad I did. I have no problems to report. I had little interaction with hotel staff but what I did have was pleasant and professional. Our suite was clean and comfortable. We had one of the few rooms that had a small balcony which made it nice to sit outside and enjoy a beverage in the evening after a day of sightseeing. This hotel is in a great location, just off the highway and very close to downtown Davidson. We definitely would stay here again if we ever come back to the areal

This hotel was literally 2 mins off I77 and a 5 minute walk from Lake Norman. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. We had the pool to ourselves most nights. Area around the hotel is clean and safe and numerous restaurants just a 5 minute drive in Davidson. Highly recommended either for business or leisure. Will definitely stay again next time we’re in the area

Room had strong odor of moisture. After spending over an hour in the room we discovered the carpet around the AC unit was covered in water. Checked out immediately. Hilton has gone downhill. Sad to see.

It’s fine. Good location. But dated. Front desk person seemed only a little happy to see me. Two lightbulbs out in room, no housekeeping. Nice happy hour complimentary food. Mediocre breakfast. If visiting Davidson College the location may win out. But that’s the biggest plus.

Unclean. Loud. Unfriendly staff. These are the top 3 reasons why hotels disappoint my family. But this Homewood Suites wasn’t in danger of any of those! In fact, this hotel is probably in our top 3. The design of this unique Homewood Suites is intriguing, and the layout ensured for a very quiet stay. The room was very clean, the water pressure and temperature were great, and our limited interactions with the staff were pleasant. The breakfast was serviceable, and nobody in our clan went away hungry. The location is great for anyone wanting to stay in the heart of Davidson near eateries and things to do. We’ll definitely stay here again if we have the need!

The whole thing was a huge disappointment. We won’t be back. There was no maid service. No managers reception. No bar. No restaurant. On a positive note, the water in the shower was very hot. We were there five nights. Lots of unfulfilled potential.
