Very pleasant atmosphere; although it was busy, the restaurant is large enough to accommodate many tables without feeling cramped or too busy. We were seated immediately. Very friendly, efficient service, menu included a number of items for our son, who follows a dairy- and gluten-free diet. I had their house-made corned beef hash, which was excellent. When we return to Davidson, this will be our dining spot.

Had breakfast there today and even though the server was good the management staff wasn’t! My food was cold and I politely let the server know. She took the plate and returned pretty quickly. The food was still cold and was actually the same plate I handed her. Eggs and has browns were rubbery as well as looked old and it was obvious they either attempted to microwave it unsuccessfully or they just didn’t care enough to make it fresh.
I saw the management staff (older lady) point her fingers at the server and she gave a nasty look to our table!
I will say when I’ve been there before the service and food was good!

Went here with my family for breakfast while vacationing in the Lake Norman area. What can I say, service and food was good and the prices were reasonable. No wait on a Monday morning and they were Covid compliant. Recommend.

I had the Eggs Benedict, which was good, but my eggs were not runny as poached eggs should be. The ham was tasty, as were the hash browns.

The Egg is always top notch for its food and great service. With the impacts of COVID-19 the restaurant has done a good job of getting parties in and out efficiently and have done a great job of adding tables outside to enjoy and eat at. I highly recommend this location but the other locations are more predictable and have been able to source the entire menu since opening back up from COVID-19 impacts. This location does not serve steak and eggs anymore and for being much larger in size did not order or make enough muffins for an early customer on the weekend (8:30am on Saturday).

Over the past couple of months we have noticed the quality of food steadily declining. This morning we ordered breakfast to go and my food was not even edible. The eggs in my Eggs Benedict were so overcooked the yolks were hard. The hollandaise sauce was thick, lumpy, and had so much lemon it tasted sour. The hashbrowns were burnt and black on the bottom and had way too much salt. This used to be a great restaurant that we would go to every weekend but after this morning we do not plan on going back.

Call before going. It said they were Open and when we went there at 3pm it was closed (but kitchen door in back was open).
The food is always great and the staff especially Jaime are awesome ? she is so helpful and always in such a good mood.

This was my first time at The egg. My husband has been here a few times since we relocated from Michigan. I took a carry out because I don’t want to sit inside or be around too many people due to Covid. I got the biscuit sausage and egg sandwich as well as pancakes. Everything was really delicious! Bonnie took my order and she’s really awesome! So glad I got to finally try it! Be prepared to wait a bit because this place is really busy but I think it’s worth it!

Slow service and terrible food. I ordered an Eggs Benedict. I t came to me with sausage gravy on the eggs and the hash browns were cold. On the menu it said that the eggs Benedict came with Hollandese sauce and Canadian bacon. Sent my dish back, the waitress gave me back my dish and now it still had sausage gravy and they used Sausage instead of Canadian Bacon. Sent it back, they took it off the bill, ate some of my wife's breakfast and then we left. Never going back.

It was cheap in price and quality. Have not returned here after being disappointed. I haven't figured out the other's reviews. I can name 4 other places in Davidson where the breakfast is better.

Our food came in good order- As well know breakfast is one of the simplest meals but often just average. The egg did great job with our tables breakfast and lunch. I highly recommend the corn beef hash. Our server was sub par. Still will not stop us from coming back.
