Brought a table of 10 in, we called ahead to let them know we were coming and we said we prefer to sit together but it's alright if we get split or have to wait. They ended up making the decision to sit us outside. It started raining and they did not accommodate for it and the manager ended up talking to us and saying "we really were not wanting to sit anyone outside." When it wasn't our decision at all, it was the staffs. We received no apology and we had no where to sit to eat our food when it was ready. Ended up leaving with the food to eat at home. They made it sound like it was our fault. We paid and tipped and realized they charged us for two extra meals. We wish the manager would have apologized and that our bill would have been checked over. Our waitress Jada was super nice and great, she did everything right!

Food is over priced for what it is. I had a classic Benedict on biscuit instead of an English muffin... the biscuit was so old it was like a hockey puck. $14 for what? My girlfriend got a quesadilla and it hardly had any cheese... $15. The waitress took 5 mins to get our drinks and came back with only water, not the OJ we asked for. Then 5 more mins to take our order. A different server brought us our food WITH THE RECEIPT. We didn't see a waitress again our entire meal. Terrible food and even worse service.

My wife and I stopped here last Saturday for breakfast outside. Food was good but it took 30 minutes for eggs & bacon? We were told the kitchen was backed up and a lot of new folks hired. I will give them the benefit of the doubt this time.

Ignored! Took 45 minutes to get a hamburger and two eggs. Waitress who took our order spent at least 30 minutes flirting with a male customer. Cashier who took our money asked how was everything. When I said 'very disappointing' she didn't ask why or even acknowledge that I said anything. Plenty of wait staff. No one waiting to be seated. No one offered to refill the ice tea. Wait staff just looked right through you as if you were invisible. This was our first visit here since moving to Davidson. Probably our last.

Greeted immediately and they even opened the door for me. Very nice little touch. Yes, I ordered coffee in the middle of this heat. Not sure why, but it tasted good. So...this is where it gets difficult.... I ordered the BLT. I asked for onions and cheese. I was disappointed because it was not delivered as ordered, they forgot the onions and cheese...BUT it was an amazingly good sandwich. Dare I say that it did not need the extra calories I tried to add. The bacon was cooked perfectly and had a wonderful smoked flavor. The tomato's and lettuce were fresh. Definitely would order this again...without my customizations. Nicholas, the waiter, made sure I had everything I needed. He talked me into the pesto pasta salad, instead of the potato salad I almost ordered. The noodles were perfect, just a hint of onion and pepper, and the pesto was full of bright flavors. I will definitely return! PS. As I was finishing up, they remade my sandwich and gave it to go... I am a excited for my second lunch today!!!

Are recovering well from Covid. Breakfast & lunch place. Plenty of seating and good table service. Wife loves their left coast BLT, which includes avocado. I simply love their corned beef hash with eggs. They literally chop up some corned beef, grill it with some shreaded potatoes and there it is. Yummy-lishous topped with two eggs to order. I don't like or want the holandaise, but you might. Comes with toast. A GREAT breakfast.
This restaurant is amazing! The staff is incredible and the food is to die for! I went with my mom and aunts and we had the best time. The atmosphere is comforting and light and we enjoyed the music. The menu is extremely broad and has options for all different diets. I would 100% recommend to anyone.

This is easily the best breakfast on Main Street (or anywhere) in Davidson. The menu is so diverse and the ingredients are always flexible so you can customize anything... my go to's are a hot cuppa Joe in a ceramic red mug, The runner's omelette or the burrito, and if I'm feeling wild a single seasonal pancake. I really love the fresh salsa that comes with the burrito and I typically share the breakfast with my partner. Today, I actually tried the classic waffle for the very first time and it was a little bit dry but next time I would probably just order it on the lighter side because it was good! The portions are big and of course I can't go without recommending the most popular omelette which is called the avocado omelette - delicious. The atmosphere is country and laid-back... And the service is usually prompt. It's convenient that you can use a QR code and pay from your phone at the table. They get extremely busy on the weekends but during the week it's much easier to get a table during peak hours. Make sure to stroll down Main Street before or after breakfast and enjoy the charm that Davidson has to offer! During nice weather they have a large patio out back as well for extra outdoor seating that you don't initially see upon approaching the restaurant from the front. So don't despair if it looks like all the outdoor tables are taken... Walk down the long sidewalk on the left side of the building and you will see many more outdoor seating options available.

Always fun to find the quintessential breakfast place in every college town. Look no further -- this is it. Literally across the street from campus, Famous Toastery is a locally owned and operated (as with most Davidson, NC businesses). Quick attentive service including a fun conversation with the owner. Creative, fun menu perfect for a morning breakfast or brunch. (Astonished that there are any low-star reviews here -- perhaps everyone has a bad day, but for us the restaurant overdelivered for a fun, filling, pre-tour breakfast and walk around a lovely campus).
