Whit's Frozen Custard

We love this place and visit often! Our favorites are sugar cookie (without sprinkles 😜), birthday cake, and cookies & cream.

the Davidson Delight-vanilla custard with brownie bites and fudge swirls. Sea salt caramel custard with Heath bars mixed in. Bourbon praline pecan. chocolate custard with raspberries and chocolate flakes mixed in. These are a few of my favorite things.

my husband & I were excited when Whits moved in across the street from us! we walk over here at least once a week. don’t understand the reviews about the teenagers working there…the kids have always been friendly & doing their job! they’re just kids, not perfect 🫶
oh and the custard is delicious!!!

Love love love the frozen custard here! I've been to other locations in the state and they've never failed to surprise us with innovative creations! My only gripe is that I wish they used slightly better ingredients in their custard pints. The custard is thick and creamy, and the flavors are unique and delicious 😋

SEE OWNERS RESPONSE IN PIC BELOW: Ignorance is your friend ? you have 248 reviews ? THATS not credible for how long you’ve been in business. You should have way more reviews. NOT taking accountability is bad service and as other reviews recently stated: your business has bad customer service and rude teenage employees. By your rude response, I see why! I visited once and it was very generic. I will also tell my 12,000 colleagues not to visit. Your shop won’t be on our recommended business list and I also won’t list your business in our lake Norman business advertising. Grow up and learn how to run a business. I guess you don’t know how witchcraft works. I’m not sure your body will hold water after I work this HAPPY HALLOWEEN ? They call me a real witch for a reason.

As other previous reviews said, The custard wasn’t that great ? I was just trying to add a little positive to all your negative! Take your sorry excuse for a life back wherever you came from because you definitely have an outsider attitude! Peon, Im the wrong one from race city to play with.

The cashier with curly hair 9/10/24 was friendly but the girl making the custard was AWFULLY RUDE and even rolled her eyes at me for no reason. When she placed my custard on the counter she didn’t tell me it was mine and she just walked off, so I asked her if it was for me and again she rolled her eyes and said yes. Her attitude is disgraceful. Apparently according to other reviews the poor service is common. I thought they were just being rude to me.

I don't like to review places badly, but this one is impossible. The place had 4 teenagers serving, poor service, they were talking and eating ice cream instead of cleaning the place, which was filthy. We ordered a Davidson Deligth (I think it's called that), a total disappointment, a very poor quality ice cream, like MC Donald's Sunday, with a very weak top of 1 finger of Brownie, extremely poorly made and already melted, a real rubbish, I couldn't finish eating it was so bad. When you're at an ice cream shop you expect something different, but any Walmart ice cream is better than this. I don't understand, the place just moved, they shouldn't have left it abandoned with such unprepared people serving it.

When I went to this location there was a young gentleman I believe named carter. Carter was really helpful when me and my grandkids couldn’t figure out what to order. After I ordered he rushed and worked really hard to make all of the frozen custard for all 5 of us. When the young man finished he helped bring some of the cups out for my little grandkids who weren’t cooperation. The service was amazing by this gentleman he deserves a raise.

This small, frozen custard shop always has great service, and they don’t mind if you ask for samples! The parking is not so great, but we usually manage to find a spot. They only have a couple of tables outside for seating and a couple of tables inside for seating, so we often end up sitting on the curb outside the shop. The price is all right, and the frozen custard is good. All the Whit’s in the Charlotte area that I’ve tried, this one is my favorite.

Awful experience. I called ahead to ensure they had vegan custard in stock. They told me they did. I drove 30 mins one way only to get there and nothing in stock. The employees can’t tell me the accurate flavors available? They weren’t even sorry. For medical reasons, I cant eat dairy and there are not tons of vegan ice cream options so I made the drive but it was nothing but disappointment.
