Mazatlan Family Mexican Restaurant (Denver)

Food was bland steak burrito came out grey and unseasoned. My boss said his meal was ok so I gave it an extra star but he agreed mine was not up to par.

I use to go here all the time years ago and loved this place. I started going to Mazatlan in Lincolnton because it's closer to my house and it's always delicious but today I was down by Denver and decided to stop here. The food tasted unseasoned. I got a taco and it was just very plain tasting plus was charged almost $1 more for them to add a squirt of sour cream. I ordered a side of grilled shrimp and it looked and tasted undercooked or like maybe it had been boiled then they threw it on the grill for a minute to get a few marks on it. It was also unseasoned. My daughter got chicken strips and said they tasted really chewy and wouldn't even eat half of them. I'm not sure if they have new management here or what but it's really gone down hill. Paid over $70 for dinner and nobody ate most of their food. Very disappointed.

5 stars for these guys! Fajita burritos were great! Queso dip was tasty. Chip sauce was mild. Briana was very pleasant and checked in with me a few times.

We’re looking for a go-to Mexican restaurant- found it!
