Disappointed. We'd been here a couple of times for lunch when traveling by the area and enjoyed it. So, we decided to stay and have dinner to celebrate our anniversary. The duck breast with carrot ginger puree was excellent, but everything else was not. The apple fennel slaw was awful, and the crispy brussels sprouts were crispy burnt and inedible. My wife's salmon was overcooked, the risotto fairly tasteless and the broccolini okay. We won't be going back.
Beautiful place. The food was moderate at best. I ordered the filet for $40.00 cooked medium. It arrived charred and well done. Brussel sprouts we're basically smashed no real flavor. Our waitress spoke with management and gave us 6.00 off a meal that was inedible. Not very good service
Afterwards we did enjoy the winery. A nice meal ahead would have gone a long ways
Folks in the winery we're super nice. Next time we'll eat elsewhere if we choose to enjoy the winery
Took my residents out for an excursion and we were thrilled with our experience at Harvest Grill and the Vineyard tasting. Benson was absolutely amazing!
I can't share enough good things about our recent experience at Harvest Grill & beautiful Shelton Vineyards. Although, we have enjoyed eating there before, this time our daughter was getting engaged. Benson White & the staff all went above & beyond to make it extra special for the happy couple & our immediate family!! The table was lovely & we had the most amazing food. Everyone loved the charcuterie board!! It was beautiful & so delicious! I'm very happy we went with this location. It could not have been a more perfect evening for our family.
We had a late lunch reservation. Our server took forever to take our orders. Then we waited an extremely long time for our food to come to the table. They were not very busy so not sure what took so long. Four orders were for hamburgers ranging from medium rare to medium for the meat. All four were well done and dry. One order was for a chicken salad and the chicken was dry and overcooked. We visit Shelton a few times a year for their wine. This is the second year in a row we ate at the restaurant and were disappointed both times. We will be eating elsewhere for now on.
We are at Shelton Vineyards. We walked in to place an order with the intention of paying then and then returning when it was ready to pick up. The guy working the front refused to take our order and said we had to place it online only. That is ridiculous to have to go back out, place it online and then go back again to pick it up. Bad customer service. We normally love the food here, but will think twice before coming back.
My grand daughter and I had a date night.
Jasmine was our wonderful server.
My grand daughter got a steak which she said was delicious and I had the garden pasta with shrimp, which was also very good.
Update: I did speak to someone in hospitality who apologized for my experience in a 2-minute phone call. I would’ve expected more from a well-established winery. Skip the trip, visit Jolo.
Unfortunate experience with an extremely rude hostess. My mom and grandma love this place, and would always stop by on their way to visit me at law school. I joined them today, and it will be the last time for us all. The hostess greeted us curtly with, “Uh, can I help you?” We told her we had a party of three and don’t have a reservation for a very slow Sunday afternoon. She acted like she couldn’t seat us and that it was a truly devastating feat to show us to our table. I’ve never been made to feel less welcome in a restaurant before. It put a bad taste in my mouth for the restaurant, a host sets the tone for the meal. As a result, we took Shelton off entirely for when we roadtrip through the Yadkin Valley wine trail. Food was decent though.
Benson and Courtney were awesome!!!!! Thank you for the wonderful service you provided at my last visit! Wonderful food and wonderful service!
Shelton is gorgeous first off! We had reservations at the Harvest Grill and it was a fantastic meal! We didn’t let the drunk people beside of us ruin it - they had definitely had too much to drink when you’re stumbling through the restaurant and can’t find your friends and having to hold onto chairs- so aside from that- the ambiance of the restaurant was 10/10 and the food was delicious. My favorite wine was the dry rosé!
After the meal we went over to the tasting room and enjoyed a flight of 5 wines. They had cute items for sale as well as chocolates. We really enjoyed our visit and would come back again.

This place used to have great food a couple years ago but now it is just average. The last 3 times I have visited the dishes I had ordered are just ok! The menu options are very attractive but the quality of the food don't match the description at all.
Today I ordered the duck with risotto. Duck was bland, not crispy at all and the risotto was terrible, not creamy at all.
The server was really nice but the hostess was rude.
I don't think we will be back.

I was totally shocked to find out that Harvest Grill was truly a farm to table restaurant when being invited for a wine tasting. They source most of their ingredients from local farms. The food was some of the best I have ever had. I wil be back!

Unfortunately I arrived at the same time as a party of ten. My waitress was so tied up with this group that her other tables got ignored. Also the party of 10 backed up the kitchen so my dinner took over 2 hrs. The food was good and I’d come back next time I’m in town. I recommended visiting this restaurant.
I don’t recommend the devil triangle the texture was weird. Everything else I had tonight was good.

Do not get the BLT!!! I ordered a change from the pimento cheese BLT to cheddar. Both came out with burnt toast. 18 bucks you get unevenly burnt toasted bread. You will get one slice of cheddar cheese melted, with no mayo? One supper thin sliced tomato, you couldn't find it in the sandwich. You will also get one slice of lettuce and maybe two slices of bacon. They put it in the middle of the toast, leaving two inches of dry burnt toast to eat around the filling. You will get four small bites, from the middle of the sandwich. That's it, how the heck do you screw up a BLT? All for 18 bucks, you can get the dry cardboard BLT. The chef should have never let those sandwiches leave that kitchen. The waitress was five star, and comped us with dessert. She was horrified with what we got. We gave her a great tip, however the kitchen should find someone who knows how to make a big stuffed nicely toasted BLT worthy of 18 bucks. Here is a thought YouTube it, you will be able to come up with some created ideas.
