Wonderful visit to this winery as part of the winter passport. Loved the history behind this place. Glad we spent some time here.

My wife and I started out a Saturday day trip to go to The Rockford general store near Dobson because we had read about it in Our State magazine. We figured we drive there have some lunch and see a few other things around the area but when we got there unfortunately your kitchen was closed but the owner sent us up to the winery because they had a food truck. Very acquaint little winery with amazing owners. The owner used to fly f-14s in the Navy and he and his wife are very personable and actually have some very good wines. We got a bottle of the Chardonnay and shared it while listening to music and eating food from the food truck. There's a lot of old history to see in this area so making a trip up to the winery and then heading into Rockford would certainly be a good day for anybody. There's also an old church there in Rockford which has a fresco which was painted by the brother-in-law of Ben Long who did the famous fresco's in Glendale springs and West Jefferson. If you are a vet or currently serving in the military they give discounts and they also encourage you to hang up your own picture of 5x7 or less on their wall of honor they are obviously super supportive of our military.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Haze Gray Vineyards. It was a pleasure getting to know Becky and Deane. The setting is beautiful! The tasting room is pretty, clean and a comfortable place to explore their wines. We loved the wines. There is something for everyone. Our favorite is the Petit Verdot. In general the east coast doesn't produce red wine with the full bodied characteristics we like. Their Petit Verdot was a wonderful surprise. We loved it! In total we left with a couple cases of wine, a mix of many of their wines. We look forward to sharing these delicious wines with our friends!

Great, picturesque little vineyard in the midst of a beautiful, winding labyrinth of country roads.I came here to pick some Chambourcin grapes and try the wine. I tried three whites and two reds, including the Chambourcin, and was blown away by the Traminette, the barrel-aged Chardonnay, and the Petit Verdot. The latter is a less-known grape despite being one of the original Bordeaux grapes, and it was a tannin bomb with loads of oaky goodness and a dark, inky, full body. The service was extremely personable— I always love when I can actually take the time to chat with the wine servers, who were very knowledgeable about all the wines.High recommendation!

We loved the setting, the wines and their story. The military service by both owners, naming of wines with that influence (even the name of the vineyard) and their obvious love of wine making make this one to visit and return to often. We enjoyed the tasting and then taking a bottle outside to watch the horses and cows. It was the 3rd vineyard of the day and by far it was the best experience!

A really great winery! We visit Haze Gray every time we are in North Carolina. Great wines and great people! Becky is the greatest, she recognized that I am hearing impaired and made sure I could understand what she was communicating. Really appreciate her and highly recommend a visit!

Wonderful place to visit and enjoy the excellent wine. I went to a wine tasting with chocolates. I left with some wine and jewelry. Since then I now have a box of wine and a few bottles. They have not seen the last of me yet!

I was invited by a friend to join a group of ladies here for a get together. This was my first time at this vineyard which turned out to be very close to my house. I've been to tastings at many other local vineyards and to be honest, I didn't really didn't find any wines I would purchase. No so at Haze Gray. I was pleasantly surprised and ended up purchasing 3 bottles of 3 different wines. The facility is really nice and we were able to enjoy our drinks on the porch. The facility is meticulously clean and the owner, extremely pleasant. I'm looking forward to visiting here again. I highly recommend this winery.

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Haze Gray vineyard. Becky was so nice and extremely informative, took time to explain and educate us all about their wines. Red blend Aviator was our favorite! Took a few home. Will definitely be back next trip.
