What a great spot for lunch while traveling. This restaurant is a much better choice than all the chain restaurants that litter the highways. Stopped here while driving my father to FL. Right of the highway, easy off easy on. Food was delicious, cheap and fast! The hospitality was tops. I had a bacon cheeseburger with fries and he had the Reuben, which was a daily special. Next year we will be sure to stop again!

My wife and I were travelling and spent the night in Dobson, NC. We like to visit small, local, family-owned businesses and restaurants. The Surry Diner was great. The atmosphere was quaint and reminded me of the small local cafés that were prominent in the small farming communities where I grew up in South Dakota. The food was very good and the service great.

Took forever to get a waitress to wait on me. Then they barely wanted to bring you anything, if you needed like a one sauce or something like that. Then I go to check out and the woman at the register rings up. The man behind me and tells me to step by the line, because she just wrung him up before ringing me up. Very rude People don't have no respect for no one I would never go there to eat again and I would not recommend anybody going there

I have to thank our waitress who noticed my wife's pocketbook sitting at the table after we left the restaurant, which was about to close. She ran out and caught us just before we left. Little did she know how much we appreciate her efforts ?. We were headed to Columbia SC that evening. We would have had to drive back if not for her quick response. We head north once or twice a year and we hope we can thank her the next time we come to the Surry Diner!!! The Mincello's

Found this awesome little local diner right off 77 and so glad we did. Super friendly staff, great service, and so delicious. All 8 of us were so happy we stopped here. Very reasonable prices. Will definitely be back on our next vacation

Food an service was great. The dinner was a little crowded was all but that's to be expected. I was on a scooter but still made it just fine I would recommend this place.
Vegetarian options: I had the house special. It came with Salisbury steak mashed potatoes Mac an cheese an green beans an a roll
Parking: Big parking lot no problem parking only have one handicap space but there's plenty of parking close to the dinner
Kid-friendliness: Yes very good wait staff I noticed they make over the kids an also have highchairs
Wheelchair accessibility: Yes I had no problem going in with a scooter. Like I said it's little crowded with a scooter but the staff will gladly move chairs or what ever they need to do to help.

Stopped here on our way to Florida from Ohio. It's small and very much a diner. The chopped BBQ pork was delicious, finely chopped and seasoned perfectly. The coleslaw was also very good. Very affordable.

This is a nice little Diner just off the main drag. It was a great stop for a little something in our travels. Though our little something really wasn't little!! The prices were phenomenal, the service was great and the food came out quick, freshly cooked and tasty! We will definitely be back on our way through!!
