I was excited to give Cody Creek a try, it came recommended by others. I loved the feel of the whole winding driveway, but as soon as I entered, I kinda wanted to leave. When you walk in, there’s no one to greet you to let you know where to go, so initially we were confused, then we were yelled out to go ahead down the hall to be seated. I had no idea where she meant- the whole entrance looked like a hall. I mentioned it was our first time, and she snickered at me, and I felt like her voice was telling me to calm down, when I was calm- only super confused because of the whole interaction. So I proceed to follow this hallway that goes past a bar that looks like a jail, then I notice all the politically charged paraphernalia. I’m immediately disgusted given the current political atmosphere. (Everyone has the right to vote however they want, this was more to scream they had undying support for an individual who is the least emotionally mature and least qualified person to be where he is.) We ordered, and the wait was considerable. Seated around 7:50, appetizer out at 8:20, and food an hour after ordering, 8;50. Atmosphere was ruined by a security light that would turn on and blind my husband every time a server would walk by. We proceeded to pay, being told we pay at the entrance. There I was greeted with a sign that said “ Save money pay with cash”. They charge 3.9% in credit card fees- wow. Food was mediocre. Mac and cheese very runny, ranch not homemade, sweet potato casserole was overwhelmed by cinnamon flavor. Chicken tenders came out over cooked and chewy. I enjoy giving places a try, but this is an experience I’ve had and won’t repeat.

Flies everywhere inside the restaurant! They don’t know how to grill steaks, it was old shoe on the first serving and the second it came out nearly raw, the ribs are dry and then smeared with a weird orange sauce. It is politically charged with the owns affiliations plastered everywhere. Whether you agree or not, it’s not appropriate for a restaurant business. Our goal was to enjoy a night out away from all that. The owners themselves are rude and aggressive. We were disturbed by the male owner directly. While waiting for our food, he approached the table yanked a chair out from under our table, said absolutely nothing to us, plopped himself down at the next table to talk. When he had finished, he raked the chair across the floor and shoved it back into our table, shaking it, interrupting us a second time and still said nothing. Recap: Dirty, fly infested & spider webs everywhere. Bad food. High and unexpected extra fees @ checkout, you are charged a 4% fee for using any form of payment other than cash, politically charged, hostel owners. Many other reviews consistent with our experience. Make the necessary changes, your loosing potential repeat customers which means you’re loosing money.

We discovered this eclectic restaurant/facility by accident and returned for dinner. The service and atmosphere were excellent. The food was good, but not on par for the price. If you're in the area, the Depot is worth a visit.

Went with work for a Christmas party. The food was good. The staff were friendly. Wish there was an area just for groups instead of us being put in the middle of families. Other than that, it was an overall great experience.

Was there last night for a dinner. We had reservations for 9. Due to different circumstances, several of our party was unable to attend. We had a party of 4. We offered the hostess for us to move to a smaller table. Again when our waiter came, we offered to move to a smaller table. We were again declined and told it was fine! We were finishing up and getting ready to go and we approached by the OWNER telling us we were going to have to leave because he had a reservation for that table and people were waiting! My co-workers and I were so offended! We had offered multiple times to move and then as we are finishing up we are kicked out!! No thank you!! We won’t EVER be back!!!

I have always enjoyed eating at Cody Creek and have referred many others there as well. The place is absolutely beautiful.
It is rare to find something so unique that also has good food.
Even with the long drive, it has always been worth it. Unfortunately, after this past Saturday night, I don't know that I will ever go back. I have never in my life been treated so rudely at a business establishment. My family wasn't able to get together for Thanksgiving, so I wanted to take them all out on Saturday for a special treat at Cody Creek. After trying to call all afternoon to request a table for a larger party, I walked in at 5:30 to put our name on the list for a party of 11. I was immediately told, in a hateful tone, that we would have to split up because they could not sit a party of 11 together. Now I know they have larger tables, but it is Christmas, so I thought maybe they were all booked. It wasn't a problem. I told the lady that if that was all they had it was fine, but we would need to sit close together because 6 of our 11 people were children. She told me that was all they could do unless I wanted to wait until 8 pm, again in a very hateful tone. Then, the other lady proceeds to say we can either sit you at separate tables or NOTHING. Wow!! I was so taken aback by the fact that I was being treated so horribly at a place that I loved and was planning to spend a right smart of money at, was talking to me, or any other customer for that matter in this manner. It took me a second to get my composure together. I didn't want to have to tell my family that we weren't going to eat here after driving all this way; however, I can assure you that the answer I wanted to give her was NOTHING, and under any other circumstances would have been NOTHING. I proceeded to tell her that we would stay. I ended up spending a lot of money on mediocre food (food has gone downhill since the last time I was there) at a place I didn't want to give a dime to. Thank you for ruining my night with my family and my positive experience with your restaurant up until this point. You may have a beautiful place, but if you treat others like you treated me, it won't matter how beautiful it is.
