There are limited options for nicer vegan dining in OBX. We had a great experience at Aqua. Both the harvest salad and beet risotto could easily be made without cheese. Both dishes were fresh and flavorful. The staff were lovely and very helpful in describing the ingredients in various dishes. Would happily return!

Aqua is our favorite restaurant in Duck. We spend 4-5 weeks down here each year, and always make sure we have at least one meal there. The food is consistently great, and the service is warm & friendly.

We went to celebrate my birthday this week. The food was pretty good. I had a harvest salad with an addition of chicken. He had the duck. We also had a crab dip appetizer that was very tasty. The portions were not huge (actually were a little small, except for the appetizer) and the chicken was a little bit dry. Not enough to send it back, but enough to go "hmm, wish it was not cooked quite so done"). The staff (particularly Valerie) were attentive and personable. We did not have to ask for drink refills and she asked us about dessert. (Sometimes, not here, you go and they obviously don't want to even offer dessert b/c they want you to go home so they can have the table.) Valerie did not rush us or make us feel anything but welcome! So if the portions were a tad bigger and/or my chicken not have been a little dry, this would have been a 5 star review. I'd give it a 4 and a half. :-)

Great restaurant for a sunset dinner or a relaxing lunch. Food for both lunch and dinner were great. Dinner menu is the same as in years past, however was still well received by our group. JB is a great server and it was nice to see the continuity there. This was our first time having lunch at Aqua, and we will be back as everyone enjoyed their meal. Cheesesteaks and fish and chips were the main orders. Erin was our lunch server. I have been coming to the OBX for 20 years and eat out at least 6 or 7 times each year. I also have 35 years in the restaurant industry, and Erin, without a doubt is the best server I have ever had the pleasure of taking care of us. I really cannot say enough about how fantastic she is at her job! Friendly, pleasant, funny, just all the adjectives apply to Erin!

My husband and I went for a date night here during our trip to OBX. The views for outdoor dining are incredible. It’s so beautiful and relaxing. The food is expensive but very delicious. My favorite was the sweet corn and crab soup. I’ll be thinking about it for the rest of my life. xD Highly recommend if you’re looking for a higher end dining experience on the waterfront.

We have been to a couple restaurants in Duck and we will not return to this one. The food does not match the price tag. The host/hostesses at the front on Saturday night were unprofessional and so was our server.
Dine in birthday dinner. Request for window table at reservation honored. Manager very attentive to displeasure with cook of steak. Slight note of B-O amongst staff. Overall, is very nice special occasion place.

First time dining, food, service and overall experience was amazing. I had the shrimp and grits, my husband had the NY strip steak. We sat by the window with a beautiful view of the sound. Will return next time we visit Duck.

We've been dining at Aqua for many years. Besides the food, wine and ambience, the consistency is another reason we keep coming back. Our server, CJ was great. Great service and a good sense of humor. We love the sunsets here and last night was no exception. We'll be back in November; can't wait!
