“We celebrated our anniversary here and could not have asked for a better experience! From the moment we walked in, everything was absolutely amazing. The food was outstanding — every dish was full of flavor, perfectly prepared, and beautifully presented. You can truly tell they take pride in both the quality of the food and the overall dining experience. The service was just as impressive. Christa was our server and she went above and beyond to make our night feel special. She was attentive, friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel genuinely welcomed throughout the entire evening. It’s rare to find service that stands out this much, but she truly made our anniversary dinner even more memorable. If you are looking for amazing food, outstanding service, and a restaurant that makes you feel appreciated, I highly recommend this place. We will definitely be back!”

“Duck. The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was fun, and it had that laid-back Outer Banks vibe that makes you want to stay awhile.
The NC oysters were absolutely worth ordering. We also loved the salt and vinegar fries, which were crispy with the perfect amount of flavor, and the Tiger's Bite Salad was fresh, light, and filling.
If you're visiting during the summer, expect a wait for a table. Don't let that discourage you. Grab a drink outside, enjoy the live music, and soak in the atmosphere while you wait”

“Atmosphere and service (Fah was so kind) were amazing and the food was unbelievable and well presented! We had a variety of sushi and pork bao buns, some of the best we’ve ever had! All ingredients were very fresh. If you vacation near Duck you must stop in for a meal!”

“Ok - if yall haven’t been, or if you have been but you get sandwiches every time you go, I highly recommend you try their enormous “jumbo smoked chicken wings!”  I love their Italian, and they have great brisket and barbecue, but the “cackalacky wings” were awesome! AND - if Steven is working and you want them spicy hot, tell Molly at the register and she will have him hook you up! AND they have the battered fries that my wife loves so it’s a win-win! AND - they are one of the only restaurants on the northern end of the Outer Banks open all year. AND - a little birdie told me that sometime in March they will start having breakfast full-time as well!!!”

“We ate here on Friday Oct. 20. Bartender was super friendly. Highly recommend the clam chowder, best we've ever had. I had the Grouper special and it great. My wife had the Tuna, was super pleased, cooked perfect and not many places get it right. They did. Chef was great to talk to. She explained a lot as we sat at the bar waiting for our food. Backyard bar was our kind of place. The band had to cancel because of rain but It would have been a great place to see one. Will go back next time we are in Duck. Thanks for a great experience.”

“The food is excellent especially the coconut shrimp. My husband loved the fresh oysters. Everyone is very welcoming and friendly. Joy was our waitress both times we went and such a "joy"! We had a wonderful time.”

“Great burgers! Wait staff was fantastic. They were also very accommodating for a shellfish allergy and used a pan on the grill and changed gloves, as to not cross contaminate.(kitchen is open, so I watched the process) Also the waiter immediately told me I wouldn’t be able to eat the fries due to cross contamination and subbed a salad for the same price. We will return on our next visit.”

“What a great stay at The Sanderling! It’s a mixture of old and new with all the character you could hope for! It’s a very laid back resort so don’t expect every single detail of your stay to be perfect, although they were pretty close! The exterior is a bit dated but I love the charm of a weathered resort and speaking with other guests, they agreed. Great staff, and very friendly. Especially the bellman, cleaning staff, front desk, spa front desk, servers, manager, and facilities! Rooms are very clean, great beds and shower! You don’t want to miss the Lifesaving station breakfast! Wow, what an incredible chef and staff. They offer other meal services but breakfast blew me away! I had one small issue with my ceiling fan and facilities came over quickly and shared how to use the switch that was wired with a light. Super helpful, quick and friendly. Pools are great, and the location is perfect right on the beach. Just a few steps away! I will definitely be back and looking forward to an activity tonight! Theodosia is well worth the trip! Amazing views and food is delicious! Time your table at sunset!”

“I stumbled upon this little gem while in the area and was blown away by how wonderful everything was. The coffee is incredibly high quality, and you can really taste the care they put into roasting their own beans right on-site. The vibe is so cozy and artistic, making it the perfect place to just sit back and enjoy a great cup. The staff were super welcoming, and it felt like a true community spot rather than just another coffee shop. I ended up picking up some local art pieces too, which was a nice bonus. I’ll definitely be making this a regular stop whenever I’m nearby.”

“We make sure to get fried oysters every time we're in town but decided to dine in this time. The food was amazing, but beyond that, the customer service was well-worth mentioning. Our servers were very welcoming and friendly, offered samples and recommendations, and were incredibly quick! 10/10 highly recommend!”
