“The bang bang shrimp were cooked & seasoned perfectly. We also had the crab cake sandwich & the pork bbq sandwich. They have a bbq sauce or the most popular vinegar based sauce. It was so good because bought a thing of their award winning vinegar sauce. The staff were so polite & the food came out fast & hot... this is our new favorite secret to eat..... they do breakfast, lunch, & dinner. It's very casual w/ a full bar . The bar seats around 12-15 people..”

“We went just looking for a Sunday afternoon excursion from the beach. Were very pleasantly surprised. All the wines we tasted (dry whites and reds) were awesome! The gentlemen who was working there was very cordial and informative. He even took us in the back to see the wine barrels and explained some about the wine-making process. I am writing this review after visiting the paper canoe for the 3rd time. I have ordered different menu items, while my partner has only ordered the scallops as “they have the best scallops I’ve ever had in my life”. She has gone so far as to stop ordering scallops elsewhere as The Paper Canoe has ruined all other scallops for her, as they are just so good.The paper canoe is one of the, if not the best restaurant we have dined at. The atmosphere is top tier, and if you book your reservations the right time, you’ll be able to watch the sun set while you dine.The beauty of nature, mixed with the pure culinary skill of the chef, and the professionalism of the staff make this so much more than a restaurant, it’s an experience.I can not recommend The Paper Canoe enough. 15/10And attached are photos of the scallop entree, the cast iron shrimp and grits, and the sweet and sour lemonade w/ edible straw”

“BEST PORK CHOP EVER. So what if I order a pork chop at ever restaurant that boasts one. I expect pork perfection - and The Blue Point achieved it. Pork excellence! This chop was beyond good. It had this crust with a bacon essence that just made me laugh it was so good. And the bread pudding had the perfect savoriness. Oh my word! It’s a must try! My hubs got the crab cakes - also VERY GOOD. But the night belonged to Porky-God rest his soul. He was VERY good.”

“Although we have been coming to Duck for a number of years this was our first time in Corolla, and our first visit to Metropolis. Everything was delicious! My wife and I ordered 4 plates to share (yes, small servings but it calls itself a Tapas Bar so that was expected by us). King Trumpet Mushroom Bisque with Crab was delicious...thick, creamy with a mix of great flavors. Mixed Grill had shrimp and tune with a great cumin and garlic yogurt sauce. The scallops were cooked perfectly with a very light blue cheese cream sauce. And finally a flight of chocolate candies with very interesting flavors...everything from dark chocolate with a caramel flavor to chocolate infused with a beaujolais flavor. Overall a fun experience...will definitely be back.”

“Had a great night at Mama Easley's. It was 8-9 years ago that I last stopped in. I had one of the best fish tacos I've ever had. We were back again and I was hoping it was still open. Thank God it was, and it's been thriving. Wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal, but the hospitality was over the top! It was busy, we had a five minute wait by the water out back and promptly were seated. I was craving for clam strips, they didn't disappoint and the wife had blackened shrimp. I really love calamari, so I made a last minute decision to have those as well and the Siti of the day. All outstanding!”

“Are these the best bagels I’ve ever had? They are good, but probably not the best.But that doesn’t matter. You can tell when you come here and interact with the staff and eat their food that they care about what they do. There is something nice about a business that specializes in one thing.These bagels are outstanding and their breakfast sandwiches are excellent. The staff is very outgoing and friendly. “I was pretty sick last week and we ordered to go a bunch. In a time where it costs a fortune to eat or order out, I have to give a shoutout to Simply Southern in Point Harbor. For the 3 of us, we ordered a whole fried chicken (8 piece), mashed potatoes, gravy, coleslaw and green beans for just over $40, and we even had leftovers. In contrast, a different night, we ordered 2 pizzas, a side salad and an order of wings, which was over $80. Not hating on the pizzeria, that’s not the point. I’m just saying that Somply Southern does a good job, offers mobile ordering, and is affordable! And they serve breakfast on weekends, which we also had today. It was excellent!”

“Must try! Delicious food! We had the chopped cheese sub, kids hot dog and fries, Martinsville hot dog, and PK's checkered flag fries! Slaw was unique and really good! Awesome display of NASCAR memorabilia too. Our daughter had a really awesome experience. She got the classic car add on to the kids meal, which she really enjoyed. The owner also let her pick a bracelet and gave her a bag of popcorn to go! We will be back on our next trip to the beach ?”

“Visited Whalehead Brewery today for the first time, BUT, after an outstanding pizza and cold, delicious tap beer, it will not be the last!!! The pizza's crust was crisp while soft inside with fresh ingredients. Congratulations to Christin, the owner....the brick oven and robot deliverer are the bomb!!! “Best sushi in the outer banks!!I go here almost everyday on my lunch break, and I’ve gotten to know some of the people who work here and they are just so kind and sweet! And the food is no different! I usually get a California Roll (my personal favorite) and it never disappoints. I’ve also tried some different things from the menu, and all of it has been amazing! The service is great, the restaurant itself is so clean and inviting, overall 10/10 wonderful experience!”
