“We ordered inside and sat outside in the back because we had our dog with us and Arts Place has a wonderful backyard for furbabies! When our food was ready they called us to come up front to pickup, the inside dining room was full. The burgers were delicious as always. We stop here a few times a year!”

“The food here was lights out some of the best seafood I've had. The crab bisque was spicy and rich, softshell crab tacos and nachos were loaded up. They give you loads of perfectly cooked, delicious seafood. The wait staff was attentive and charming - we all really enjoyed everything about this place.”

“Delicious! I think that is the best word to describe the experience. It was packed when I went with my family, and from the moment we entered, the smell of fresh, freshly made food enveloped us. I mention this because I am very susceptible to smells, and my tasting experience begins with aromas. I also have to highlight the service, which is excellent. When you enter they ask you for a table for how many people and help you choose the place. We were served pretty quickly, everything was hot and freshly made. Be sure to order the fries, they have a technique to sauté them with garlic and cilantro and they still remain crispy, they are phenomenal!The nacho starter was enough for me as a main course. My husband ordered the burger in a tortilla. I tried it and it was equally delicious. “This is our go-to restaurant whenever we are in the area. The food is magnificent and the atmosphere cozy. Our server tonight, Justice, was a delight-friendly, attentive, and overall helpful. Great dining experience!”

“We had a reservation and were seated immediately by a server. After several minutes we were approached by the host, who apologized for being on the telephone when we arrived. He assigned a waiter to us and also provided a delicious complementary appetizer of crostini, warm olives, red peppers, roasted garlic and onions and goat cheese, thus eliminating the need to order starters. Our waiter Tom was menu knowledgeable, polite and attentive. We were a table of three and each ordered a different entree. The lamb, steak and pork chop dishes were all cooked to perfection and delicious. The leftovers reheated for lunch the following day still tasted wonderful. If I had to list one downside to our evening, I'd mention that the park bench like booth seats were terribly uncomfortable for the couple of us with little posterior padding! Other than that, a splendid, un-rushed, delicious evening.”

“BACON PEPERJACK BURGER, FRIES AND GRAVY... $9.46 TOTAL.Fries were frozen but were cooked and seasoned to perfection. They appear to use a dusted/crushed salt as opposed to more course traditional fine table salt. The dusted approach has the entire fry surface covered but never at the expense of being over salted. They got the science right on the fries few places figure this out and for the record frozen fries almost always have a snappier bite than fresh i have no issues with frozen fries. Kudos!Burger was well cooked and flavorful... no fancy bun or anything so this isn't gourmet burger its just a proper burger cooked properly, which I think makes this place 5 stars as the price after tax was very good considering the economy and touristy location.Good parking, order sent to your table, servers check up on you. Good seating design no log jam areas and plenty of intimate 2 person tables.I mean... I could disect it further but what's the point I already highly recommend this establishment.”

“Food was very good. Our server was very distracted by other guest and put off serving us our desert. So we asked someone else to give us our desert that our server had placed on a worktable (several minutes prior) next to our dining table. Our Tiramisu had set out so long, it was room temp and starting to collapse.”

“Don’t let the paper fool plates for you. This is a delightful restaurant the food was fresh and delicious. The young lady behind the counter was a delight. I would highly recommend trying this place out a very casual atmosphere with generous portions.”

“This is a bar, and we were looking to grab a couple of pints of beer, and a bar named "Tap That" sounded like it should have a good selection of beers. They did offer 16 different tapped beers, but not one of them was an IPA. Most beer joints that I've been in have too many different IPA's (hazy, imperial, new england, etc...). So we worked around that, and had the pilsner that they offer. They also have several fruity sours that have become more popular these days. The bartender was Phil - decent guy. Chatted a little with him, and he did a good job of remembering people's drink orders (for refills). It's a small joint, but it worked for what we wanted. Limited parking (maybe 4-5 spaces), so if you can walk there, that would work best.”

“Very cool ice cream shop! Clean and well lit.sadly it was not very busy but I sure hope they survive since they are not in a very central location. My son really enjoyed his ice cream here and she served a nice scoop for him. The girl behind the register was very, very friendly... yeah highly recommend.”

“Just visited from California where poke is very popular and this is by far the best poke bowl I’ve ever had!!! Customer service was awesome. I got teriyaki chicken as my protein. And the seaweed salad was delicious too.”

She was very responsive and helpful at all times.My husband and I ordered our wedding cake from Sweet Coast Cakes In September 2023; it was the best decision we could have made when picking a wedding cake vendor. Starting with our cake testing, all the flavors were delicious, but the vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream was beyond delicious; it was the best we had ever had. Further, the design of the cake was flawlessly executed.The cake was delicious and gorgeous, and the service was outstanding. We highly recommend Candice at Sweet Coastal Cakes.”

“I've eaten a fair amount of sushi. Very surprised to find some of the best in the OBX. The tempura batter was awesome, a perfect ratio in the spicy tuna roll. Very crispy sweet potato Roll. Great service and atmosphere Will come back!”

“We ended up here after our plans to eat at another restaurant fell through. We were pleasantly surprised with this restaurant!Don’t be put off by the fact that it is attached to a gas station. We wondered about that too.The dining room is small an intimate. Our daughter is very sensitive to loud noises and was able to relax here as the music was soft and the dining room quiet. There are maybe 8 or 9 tables and a few bar seats to sit at.The food was great. The service was great. The scallops my wife ordered were some of the best she has ever had.And for a bonus, a review from my 11 year old son:“This was a very good restaurant, it’s very underrated, it’s quiet, the food comes out quick, and they’re playing college basketball on the TV, plus the food is the best.”This restaurant will definitely be on our list when we vacation here again in the future.Kid-friendliness: Quiet space. “My family loves traveling to OBX and each time we go we always strive to try new places. Luckily, this was just walking distance from our hotel and they did not disappoint! Service was welcoming and great. I loved how you walk in and are reminded of being a friend’s southern backyard bbq, and the fact that your food already comes in a to-go box which makes it easy if you can’t finish it all.”

“My husband and I had the opportunity to dine here yesterday, while visiting from Charlotte . Our server was an amazing young man named Jason. When I shared with him that we were extremely pleased by our experience and the amazing food, he shared that he was the son of Liz, the owner, and that his uncle worked there as well. I asked him if I could meet his mother to tell her how pleased we were. She graciously came out of the trenches of the fryer to speak with us. I commended her on her amazing restaurant, food quality , humility and resilience. This place is a definite destination anytime we are in OBX! Food and service were impeccable!!!!! “The food was phenomenal! Schindler's homemade lasagna was the best I've ever had! His grandmother's recipe is one-of-a-kind!! He even offered great locations to take my little man fishing. So personable and has a great smile! The restaurant is clean, inviting and beautifully decorated. Love the compass when you walk in! The atmosphere is great too! Loved that you can play Keno! They're one of two places that have Keno on the beach. Met the best locals! So friendly! The service was 50/50. Kristen was AMAZING!! Anne was a grump. She wasn't friendly, didn't smile the entire time and acted like we were an inconvenience when cashing out Keno winnings. She doesn't have anything on KiKi! If I had to say anything it would be they're one of the most underrated and underestimated places on the beach! Great value. You don't have to be a member to eat there. Maybe Anne just had a bad day but we'll be back again! The happy hour specials look great and cheap!”

“Cafeteria style. Pancakes were the best. 5/5 for pancakes. 4/5 for omelettes. We got the veggie and gyro omelets. Cheesy and well stuffed. Just needed a little more seasoning. Overall good experience. Definitely recommend this diner and I would visit again.”

We had the admirals platter.(flounder shrimp scallops…) and fried oysters- all to die for!!!! Don’t let me forget the awesome hand cut fries!Yes it’s a bit more expensive but I’m more than willing to pay extra for this quality all-way-round.Thanks to Aleah & all the other peeps making it great!!”
