“I recently dined at NC Coast Grill & Bar in Duck, NC. The overall experience was pleasant, with attentive service and well-prepared dishes. However, I did notice that the ingredients didn’t feel particularly fresh, more like pre-prepped items that were reheated before serving. That said, the flavors were still enjoyable, and the atmosphere was relaxed and inviting. A decent spot for a casual meal, though I’d love to see a stronger focus on freshness in the future. 3.5 stars.“

“Our party of 3 (2 vegetarians and 1 vegan) absolutely loved our lunches here. The owner was friendly and accommodating and obviously puts time and intention into her recipes. We didn't feel like her veggie options were an afterthought, like they were most other places in the OBX. The basil pesto and sun-dried tomato pesto were stellar. The fresh mozzarella was creamy and delicious. Her smoothies and coffee drinks were delicious as well. This was by far our favorite place to eat on our vacation!“

“South Beach Grill is a staple during our annual OBX vacation. We order from there 2-3 times during the week. They are fast, friendly, and ordering is easy online. Dinner for our group of 9 was ready for pick-up in less than 20 minutes. Everyone has tried multiple things from the menu and everyone was extremely pleased with everything they’ve tried. My favorites are the southwest wrap, burgers, and Buffalo chicken Philly. Their fries are delicious… especially with their fry sauce or BBQ ranch. South Beach Grill is a must have on your OBX vacation!“

We ate there on the second night of our stay and no one in the family was disappointed. I had the grilled salmon salad special and coming from a tough critic, it was DELICIOUS and did not disappoint! Everyone enjoyed their meal and the "vibe" was just the same as we remembered. We can't wait to visit again.“

“This place is amazing. My daughter and husband got the gluten free maple, sprinkles and strawberry donuts. They have celiac and haven’t had a real good donut in a long time. They were so happy. I had the regular donut with chocolate peanut butter and it was wonderful. Whether you have a gluten allergy or not this is a great place. Owner was super nice and gave helpful GF suggestions for us on the island. Gift shop is cute too!“

“SOOOOOO, good, this is our 2nd year going to Duck, NC. We, as a family, go out with our 3 kids every year. This year we had 7 of us, the wait was long, however, it was well worth it. The food was excellent, I believe Quinnton, he was on top of it. Only downfall was it was VERY loud, no fault of the establishment. This was a recommendation by my high school buddy. It did not disappoint. Highly recommend, leave yourself some time for seating, don't be that guy / girl that complains. Give them your name and go to the shops nearby (all local).“

“We ate here on Friday Oct. 20. Bartender was super friendly. Highly recommend the clam chowder, best we've ever had. I had the Grouper special and it great. My wife had the Tuna, was super pleased, cooked perfect and not many places get it right. They did. Chef was great to talk to. She explained a lot as we sat at the bar waiting for our food. Backyard bar was our kind of place. The band had to cancel because of rain but It would have been a great place to see one. Will go back next time we are in Duck. Thanks for a great experience.“

They were also very accommodating for a shellfish allergy and used a pan on the grill and changed gloves, as to not cross contaminate.(kitchen is open, so I watched the process) Also the waiter immediately told me I wouldn’t be able to eat the fries due to cross contamination and subbed a salad for the same price. We will return on our next visit.“

“Myself and my 2 year old boy went there for a late dinner after a long day at the beach and I was blown away with the hospitality and service of everyone there, especially Yusuf. He paid me a compliment I will never forget. He told me “You’re doing a great job, keep it up” as a single dad that meant more than words can explain. I stopped him shortly after and thank him for his compliment to which he said “he is so happy and friendly because of you and you should be proud.” we continued enjoying our delicious food. Everyone there was beyond nice to my son who would say hi and give fist bumps to everyone that walked by then finished up with some cake and cookies. As I was waiting for the check another server came up and informed me that I don’t need to wait for my check and someone had taken care of it for us which made me tear up as thing have been rough lately but I always do everything I can to give my son a happy and good life and when I asked who. He said they had already gone but I received a blessing I deserved. I will never forget tonight and the kindness of everyone that works there and the wonderful person that I never got to thank.
