We had been patrons of Red Sky and NC Coast at both openings. We specifically requested bar seats to watch college football. But, when we arrived none were available. The 18 something’s working the front end seemed nonplussed. The experienced staff talked us in, but while the food was great as always, the service was lacking. Hard to enjoy a good meal if you are treated this disrespectfully. We’re not locals but native North Carolinians. Salt Box, Blue Moon, and Kill Devil Grill have always been friendlier and worth the drive from Duck.

We ate outside in the afternoon when their appetizer menu was available. Good food, nice atmosphere and service. Crab cakes, crab dip, and Mexican poutine were excellent. Sweet pot bisque was good...2 of our party thought it was too sweet but still good. Sweet Potato Burrata salad was excellent as well.

Absolutely loved coming here in the offseason for lunch and another day for dinner. Jack hooked us up with one of the best spicy bloody mary’s ever. Oysters were so nice we had to get them twice. It was a pleasure sitting in Jackie’s section for dinner. She provided exceptional service and was a hoot to chat with. All our food was superb. Treat yourself to the beignets. Can’t wait to be back next year.

What a triumph! Every bite, from the baby beet salad to the delectable red curry vegetables with bulgogi beef and Jasmine rice, and finishing with heavenly homemade beignets, was a masterpiece. It was exhilarating to reunite with Ashli after nearly five years and bask in the beauty of the OBX.

Had a great lunch on 11-8 after arriving for our anniversary weekend. Oyster appetizers with pork belly, pimento cheese and jalapenos were so different, and in a good way, delicious. My husband's Pig and Fig sandwich, and my Lobster Bomb sandwich were both amazing!! Quentin was our server and he was wonderful, knowledgeable, and patient with us as it was our first time eating here. It definitely will not be our last!!

When in the Outer Banks, you must make this a stop in for at least one meal at the NC Coast Grill & Bar. Evening parking can be a small challenge but if you plan a little and do a little scouting before your meal, you will never regret this experience. A giant window faces the western ski, making this a romantic setting, with indoor and outdoor seating. A nicely sloping ramp gets you the front door. Once inside the high ceiling makes the space feel bigger than it is. The space is filled with wonderful aromas coming from the visible kitchen where the chef cooks every meal. Quality food, outstanding taste that fills your appetite with everything you’re craving. The staff presents your food on a beautiful piece of wood that centered our meal with fun and a hint of elegance and charm. Our family had the best meal here. Gathering for food and togetherness is top-shelf when all the elements come together! This place has it all.

We had a fantastic dinner with Salmon and the evening special: Surf n Turf. Our server, Summer, was on point and made great drink and food suggestions since this was out first visit. Great atmosphere and an amazing sunset. Highly recommend the beignet's for desert. Don't miss this place!

We love NC Coast! Service is always excellent! A favorite of mine is the Red Sky shrimp and grits. It is named for their sister restaurant, Red Sky tavern, who handled the catering for our wedding in May of 2021. They did an exceptional job! I have had this dish at NC Coast probably 15-20 times. I ate there last night, January 22nd, 2022. Cassie served me and she was great. The sauce is my favorite part, and it is THE reason to have this dish at NC Coast.
NC Coast is my absolute favorite place to have a cocktail at sunset. When you are outside, you can see and even interact with the people on the boardwalk, listen to live music when it's happening, and just enjoy life. What a great place!
