BEST PORK CHOP EVER. So what if I order a pork chop at ever restaurant that boasts one. I expect pork perfection - and The Blue Point achieved it. Pork excellence! This chop was beyond good. It had this crust with a bacon essence that just made me laugh it was so good. And the bread pudding had the perfect savoriness. Oh my word! It’s a must try! My hubs got the crab cakes - also VERY GOOD. But the night belonged to Porky-God rest his soul. He was VERY good.

Everything about this restaurant is perfect. The food was incredible. My husband had the scallops and I enjoyed the crab cakes. The wine selection was excellent and the desserts were amazing. Their staff is so attentive and knowledgeable. This is my favorite restaurant in OBX!

Oyster stew is on point and so is wedge salad. Never a bad meal! Empress gin is the best and service is exquisite!

This place is absolutely fantastic! And a big heads up: IT IS OPEN DURING THE OFF SEASON. I wanted to get that out at the top! It's a great special occasion restaurant, we were celebrating my birthday, but I could tell there were a lot of locals sitting up at the bar. The food is mix of Southern Comfort and seafood. My oyster stew was INCREDIBLE. I could have had two bowls!! The shrimp and grits were moan inducing. The crab cakes were so delicious. The crème brûlée was so decadent and rich! The drinks were lovely compliments to our meals. The only thing not to write home about is the bread. Kind of reminded me of store bought potato rolls. Not really worth the extra purchase. But that's honestly nothing to worry about. Everything was 10/10 and I wish I had an extra day so I could go back for another round of delicious food! The staff is observant, friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Reservations are strongly recommended. I also suggest you leave time to get a little lost/enjoy the journey as you locate the restaurant along the beautiful boardwalk area. The setting is lovely, and I'm quite sure it offers breathtaking views of the sound at sunset. Make sure to include this on your next trip!

Good food, drink and service. Sat at the bar. Had a cocktail before dinner = old fashion, recommended, a bowl of cauliflower soup, recommended and the fish special, not recommended as it was a bit overcooked and had too much sauce that disguised the taste of the fish.

Brilliant restaurant. They did the fundamentals impeccably (perfectly prepared scallops -- browned and seared both sides while maintaining a soft, melting, butteriness which eludes so many other restaurants; a properly caramelised creme brulee paired with a lovely Sauterne) and excellently executed bold forays into the more innovative (deep fried quail topped with an asian-inspired chilli crisp). Wine list was well thought out, and service was warm and attentive.

We were here off season, so the place was a bit quiet... but the food was excellent. So excellent, in fact, they were came back the next night and I ordered the same meal... had to make sure it was not just a fluke the first time. Nope, not fluke, was mahi-mahi over farro... and it was delightful. The key lime desert, served in a circular portion, was very nice... The restaurant overlooks the bay, and when the weather cooperates, the sunsets are gorgeous. The music was comfortable and played a nice selection.

service was fine. the salad was alright but for $15 i expected more flavor and ingredients for the salad. additionally i would've thought seasoning (salt and pepper; at least) would be included for the $8 side of mac and cheese. i also appreciate a broiled mac and cheese moment but it felt like it was an attempt to camouflage the lack of flavor and seasoning my friend got the shrimp and grits and to her dismay, there was a veined shrimp included. on top of the sloppy preparation of the dish, it also lacked seasoning, the grits were coarse and it was accompanied by a dozen too many bay scallops. this was disappointing considering the dish was $33. the crème brûlée was fine but the crust was too thin for it to really crack.

A wonderful spot and the north end of the boardwalk to stop, relax, and enjoy an ice cold beer or glass of wine while looking out over the sound!

Great service, the drinks were pretty and tasted good but nothing outstanding. Same with the food, it was definitely good but overpriced. The restaurant itself had a relatively sophisticated vibe and the views of the water were gorgeous at sunset. Worth going once but I'm not in a rush to go again.

Blue Point Outside...The vibe outside in the evenings is just right. Experienced and accommodating bar staff mix great drinks. You can sit in an Adirondak chair and watch the sunset with your friends with out feeling like you have to rush. I recommend it for a night out with friends or family (and pet friendly)
