We went in for dinner on Friday night before the bad weather was supposed to start. We just happened to be the only people there! We sat at the bar, and had an amazing experience. Went for New Years pre- fixed dinner. We had a 7pm reservation and got seated at 7:49pm. Once we sat. Service was fast and furious. Brought out the food and drinks without any explanations. Since we live in the neighborhood, we want to support the new chef. Food was really good but the service was poor at best. Little things matter—explain each wine pairing, tell us what we are eating for each course, don't ask us what course we are on, and then advertise a 20% discount...
We had the Chefs Taste on New Years Eve. The menu was 6 courses with wine pairings and was astonishingly good. We expected small portions due to the price point but were pleasantly surprised. Full glasses of wine and large portions. Almost too much. The chef, Sherman Harris I believe, came out to see how our meal was. We told him the food was exceptional and the pairings with the food were the perfect compliments. Can't wait to come back for Valentines Day when he does this...
