Service: Milan is a very personable and knowledgeable waiter. We had an excellent meal, he guided us expertly through the menu and the specials. He made the evening very enjoyable. We will definitely return. Sunset, wine selection, excellent food, and top-notch service made for the perfect birthday celebration.

Steak and chicken dinner entrees were delicious! We also had cocktails and creme brûlée for dessert that were amazing. The atmosphere is cozy and perfect for a date night or anniversary. The service and staff were wonderful and really added to the overall experience.

Food was decent but super unseasoned, got a margarita that was literally undrinkable, had one sip and sent back, still got charged $15. Overall very underwhelming experience, would never go back.

I went to dinner here last week and we had 7 in our party. Somehow our reservation got canceled and wasn't in the system when we arrived, even though the person working the front desk said she remembered our reservation and saw it earlier in the day. She was able to get us right in, even though they were booked.

Our meal was delicious and the drinks were great!! We will be back and can't wait to try more of the items on the menu. I had the beef wellington, we also had the scallops, stuffed shrimp, seafood special, and appetizers.

If you're looking for an amazing meal, check out this place!!!

The Paper Canoe is one of the very few MUST DO places on OBX. The food is phenomenal, service sensational, and atmosphere amazing!! If you want really good food, I am not talking generally decent bar or beach food, but REALLY top shelf cuisine - The Paper Canoe!

Wonderful place service. All wait staff friendly. Our meal was perfect for us Blue crab dip, superb diver scallops on bed of farro deliciously seasoned with thin slices lightly seasoned squash and eggplant , Prosecco and chocolate pots de crème and he had vanilla bean crème brûlée. A superb meal in an intimate setting view of Currituck bay really nice waitstaff. We will be back!

Very loud, and the oysters Rockefeller were overcooked and dry (2nd year in a row). Otherwise a great meal, good drinks and a great spot to see the sunset.

Fantastic dinner at the bar this evening. Not sure how we’ve never hit this place up before. Had some really great service at the bar. Food. Drinks. Apps. All fantastic. 12/10. Would recommend. And will def be back.

Dietary restrictions: I have a shellfish allergy. Had no issues.

The fried oysters, Barada salad and seafood salad were absolutely amazing and a great start to the dinner. My wife had the seafood puff pastry entrée that was shaped like a fish she really enjoyed It said it had great flavor and was well-balanced. Neither of us remember what it was called. I myself had the Wellington. As someone who has eaten in many fine restaurants around the country including Gordon Ramsay’s Hells Kitchen in Vegas. This beef Wellington was the absolute best I’ve ever had. It was a perfect medium rare and the pasty was cooked to perfection. It’s was so good we made reservations to return next week with friends.
