Great food and service! The Southern Fish Fry and Yellowfin dinner plates were outstanding!
Ate there 3 out of 4 nights because nothing compared. Allie served us 2 nights (we asked for her) & Nicky 1 and service was awesome!
We had a great dinner (yellow fin tuna). Great vibe and cozy, as we were seated in a corner table for two. A large place but relatively not loud. They've done a great job of installing things to absorb noise. Dimly lit, which we liked. It was a Wednesday, so all bottles of wine were half off. Our waitress was so dear. We had a great evening, and will definitely return.
Four of us came for a birthday celebration. Great table by the window for watching the sunset. Two of us order the fish fry and the coating was dry and the catfish was very thinly sliced. One ordered the shrimp and grit which was bland and runny. The only meal that was good was the tomahawk pork chop. Very disappointing and this establishment needs to pay attention to the reviews, as we should have.
Limited menu, ordered a Cesar salad with blackened shrimp. Salad was good the shrimp was great. My husband had the burger. It was also good. We sat at the bar, took awhile to be greeted by the bar tender but she was busy and apologized when she was able to make it over. Service was good. Ambiance was great! Will be back!
We sat at the bar which has great ambience. We were largely ignored by the barkeeps..we had empty plates uncollected for a very long time. Most disappointing was the food. I'm really sure my flat iron steak was top sirloin. At any rate, it wasn't flat iron.
great place to see the sunset. The food is good but not outstanding. The Caesar salad was exceptional, we enjoyed that the most. The shrimp on the appetizer menu was pretty bland. The ribeye steak was very average, not the best steak for sure. The mashed potato cake that it comes with was awesome though
We enjoyed our early dinner. Wish there were newer choices on the menu or as a special as we always end up getting our go to salads which never disappoint.
Overall a fun and pleasant restaurant but quality fell down on recent visit. Ordered two Hugo Spritzes. First arrived with no mint. Second with no orange and had not been stirred. Ordered roasted fish of the day. Flounder. It took about 40 minutes. A roasted flounder can be a beautiful thing but this was not. Overcooked for one. It's a whole fish but I had to ask for an extra plate because guess what whole fish have bones and skin that need to go somewhere. There was a lemon sauce drizzled over the whole fish, but once you've pulled off the skin there was no sauce on the actual fish, which as noted was mushy and overcooked. Crammed onto the plate was a big scoop of a sort of tabouleh but almost impossible to eat since it was on top of the bony part of the fish. So overall kind of a disaster. The goat cheese hush puppies however are great. Next time I'll stick with a beer and a burger.
We love this thoughtful, hardworking and happening restaurant. The open layout lets everyone feel part of the fun-loving atmosphere, and the mix of vacationers and part-time residents in the area gives a community vibe. The staff are engaged and intent on great service, and the dishes offer a solid mix of salads, meats and seafood, with falafel add-ins and a vegetarian option. The wine list has nice varietals and some mid-level pricing. We tried one of the specialty cocktails which had an unpleasant taste, and were able to swap it without problem. Overall, so happy Village Table and Tavern is part of the Duck restaurant scene.

A yearly staple for us. Always good food. Love the Niçoise salad! They've taken out some tables and replaced them with booths which really balances out the space nicely.
2 of us ordered $55.00 crab cake and we were in disbelief of all the filler and just stands of crab meat. Never sent food back but that was not crab cakes .
Service was excellent, beautiful setting for a meal with great atmosphere. Unfortunately the food was only just ok. Responsibly priced for the area.
We were looking for a quiet place to enjoy a "date night out" while on an extended family vacation. Village Table and Tavern was the perfect place. The food, the service, and the view of the water at sunset made for a perfect evening! Just a note of advice on the amazing hush puppies. You won't want to miss out on those!! My fish was excellent, as was my husband's 24-hour salt-brined chicken.
Great location in Duck and perfect for watching the sunset. Definitely make a reservation! Service was great and meal was just ok. I think it may have been just my entree (scallops) bc everyone else's meal looked delicious. I would not order again - not sure if it had an after taste or if the sauce didn't pair well. Key lime pie was the best!
