We discovered AJ’s cheesecakes through DoorDash, I can’t believe we didn’t try them sooner! The best vegan cheesecake I’ve had yet! They did come frozen when delivered (which was mentioned on their DoorDash page), not an issue at all, but keep in mind if you’re ordering they may need to thaw a bit before you can dig in! !

I get either the banana or strawberry cheesecake every time. The size of the cheesecake is great and so is the taste. I love that it's not overly sweet. I always forget that it comes frozen and that I have to wait a bit, but I can appreciate the reason why it comes frozen. It's worth the $12 honestly, but anything more then that I wouldn't pay. 10/10.
This review is long overdue... I discovered this place back in January of 2024 while doing a Door Dash with my brother. Ended up staying awhile and talking to the owner. When talking to AJ, you realize there's more to her and her business than wanting to make money. You see that with her actions towards her customers, the Community, and her Employees.
I went 28 years of my life not liking cheesecake.. but I decided to give AJs a try and they were so delicious that I now work there ??? now, when you purchase a cheesecake the first thing you'll notice is that they're frozen. That is because they don't use preservatives. so, I usually patiently wait, with fork in hand of course, the 5 minutes it takes for it to thaw out and then perform magic by making it disappear ?
In the picture is the first thing I ever bought from there. It's no longer on the menu, but it's a Reese's Funnel Cake. ???
1st Timer!!! My intent was to order desserts for a party of 3, but the prices are a big on the high side.... so we got 1 cheesecake and shared it. Why???? Wrong decision!!! This cheesecake was very delicious (NOTE: ITS FROZEN, but once it's ready... it's ready.) I'll be back when my money ain't funny. LOL. That one spoon full was not enough!!! I'm getting my own next time.

Strawberry cheesecake was good but a bit pricey. I was in town for the weekend and saw the reviews. It comes frozen, not a big deal since we had to drive back to hotel after picking up dinner. Services was just ok, basically asked what I wanted. Nothing more. Atmosphere- a small room to walk in and pickup. There was a few cheesecake examples you could see in the display fridge.

With tip, the total came to almost $20 for a 4" cheesecake that was completely frozen! I chose the caramel pecan. The flavor was just, meh. That may have been because I had to defrost it in the microwave to even eat it, resulting in a variety of temps throughout. Next time, I'll spend the money on gas and drive the extra 15 mins down to the CheeseCake Factory at Southpointe. Service was excellent, but this is basically a completely "take-out" operation.

Hubby and I were passing through on our way back to Charlotte and we had to make a pit stop at AJ's Cheesecake. We ordered the strawberry crunch to share and when I tell you that we both agreed this was the creamiest most delectable cheesecake we have ever eaten....WOW is all we can say!
It is the perfect balance of everything.Our recommendation would be to sit it out until it is close to room temperature and after that first taste your eyes will roll back in your head and you will start to rub your feet together!

I was really looking forward to trying this place out, and I love supporting small local businesses but it’s not really worth the hype. After reading a few reviews I understand why the cheesecake comes frozen, it’s great you don’t use any preservatives but maybe a heads up would be nice or maybe a sign stating to let it thaw out before consuming. It took about an hour for all of them to be even soft enough to stick a fork into it.
After waiting and trying them I was really disappointed, they all tasted like straight cream cheese with toppings mixed into them. Nothing like cheesecake. I got 4 slices and they were all straight cream cheese.
If your product isn’t that good at least have some decent service. I wasn’t expecting 5 star top tier service but as a first time customer if I have a question about a product I’d expect maybe just a simple explanation of what it consists of or a brief description of what your product has. I asked about a chocolate cheesecake and the response was one worded “chocolate”. Tried to word it different because I thought I didn’t ask my question right and I could only get the reply ”chocolate”.
All in all, just a disappointing experience. I’m all for giving the benefit of the doubt, maybe you were having a rough night but the product speaks for itself.

I had been waiting to try this place for some time because they weren't open on the days when I was in town. In addition, they don't open until 4pm, but they were well worth the wait! We got the strawberry crunch cheesecake and the fresh strawberry. They are absolutely delicious! They are very rich, so I can only eat a few bites at a time. As small as they are, one little cheesecake can probably feed 3 or 4 people. I'll have to freeze some of it for a later time. You've gotta try the strawberry crunch--- perfect flavor and not too sweet.
