Ama’Gees Jamaican Cuisine

My complaint isn't about the food so much but of deception! You don't tell a customer that you're going to be there when you know that you're not! I drove from Fayetteville NC and was told at 8:15pm that they would be there! At about 9:30pm, I tried to call back to find out when they would be there for me to buy some food....NO ANSWER! I couldn't believe that I had been lied to and they didn't even have the common courtesy to let me know that they weren't going to be there! That's bad business and I will no longer support their business!

This was an expensive plate in my opinion. I was charged a little over $18; chicken burnt, no plantains either. The cabbage lacked seasoning. The wait was pretty long too for food that was already prepared and served room temperature.

Made it my mission to stop here before I headed back home an hour away as I’m not in the area often. Best Jamaican food in Durham in my opinion.

Very disappointed in the food that I got on Saturday. Spent over $44 for two plates, just to be receiving bone scraps. Portion can be better. Food was okay at best.

Very very good Jamaican food is wonderful and tasty 😋 it fills you up! I love the oxtails with the rice and peas and cabbage delicious meals

Worst encounter of my whole life. Rude as hell, food was bleh and ended up giving me food poisoning. Just a terrible experience all around from them. 0/5 do not recommend, unless you want to be throwing up and puking for the next day after.

I ordered oxtail. It was too pasty. Whatever sauce they used, it was not good and they used too much of it. I also got the large size and the portion size was even smaller than what I usually get. I guess they take advantage of this when you order online.

I have not ate Jamaican food in almost twenty years since I moved from New York City after 911. Because no one knows how to do Jamaican food unless you know how to do Jamaican food and taking a chance can be catastrophic. This place knows how to do jamaican food and even found a way to make amazing Jamaican food for people that don't eat meat which in my experience, it's not easy. If you don't eat here, it is truly your loss!

Tried to see about a food truck showing up to a large event and was lectured and talked to rudely. I personally liked the food but just got treated like a POS on the phone so dont want to give them any business anymore

Great food and service. I love how welcomed I feel whenever I order. Nothing like a perfectly timed “you want gravy on your rice?” I always get some combination of rice & peas, cabbage, jerk chicken, curried something, plantains, and beef patties.
