Great freshly baked goods, especially their croissants (yummy!). They also have good sandwiches. The only reason for a 4 star instead of a 5 is because of the soup. The soup looks to have been sitting in the self serve vat for a while and doesn't look as if it's been replaced by freshly made soup in a timely manner. I haven't tasted it, it may be really good, but the looks of the soup options are off putting so I pass in getting any. The customer service is a bit lacking, I must say. Other than that, it's a good place to eat and they have a really nice variety of homemade and unique snacks. The rice crispy treats are so good!

Dependable and delicious breakfast, and a great lunch and dinner selection too!

I ate here four times in the past week as I was on campus for intensive classes. The grilled cheese with bacon was really good. The breakfast sandwiches (I had bacon, egg, and cheese on asiago one day and another on sesame another day) were really good. Plenty of seating. The employees were nice and helpful.

Like the ham and cheese breakfast croissant. Not bad for a chain.

Tiramisu ($6) - 3.5 stars Pretty decent - not too sweet. The whipped cream swirls on top didn't taste very good but the filling was fine. They're probably the same though. Chocolate fudge cake ($6.07) - 3.5 stars The cake isn't too dry or sweet! The cream filling has the texture of cold butter (it's probably a buttercream filling) and the cake itself could afford to be more moist, but it's overall a pretty well done cake. The cake layer is light and holds together (doesn't crumble when you cut into it) and goes well with the buttercream filling. The chocolate ganache was a bit too sweet for me - it's probably a milk chocolate. Overall a good cake for the convenience, but it's on the pricey side! Soy matcha latte - 4.5 stars

On June 27th 2018 I came in at about 4:15 to get a bagel and a strawberry smoothie. The two men who was working there one named Marco I believe! One man was helping a lady with her salad the other man proceeded to help me. Marco gave me my bagel and then proceeded to goto the back and made my smoothie. the smoothie was BRICK FROZEN! When I proceeded to walk back and get another smoothie. The other man not Marco gave me a water smoothie! I asked him to make me a new one so I can see him make it. He made it and gave it to me and it was still hard because he had trouble with the smoothie maker. I was going to ask him to make it smoother but I didn't wanna continue with the lack of maturity. I actually love au bon pain but this TURNED ME OFF

The new-ish West Union is located in a beautiful space in the heart of campus and has a great variety of pretty good to great food options. It's like an elevated food court. With so many choices of restaurants, from Indian to Italian, wood-smoked barbecue to Korean, sushi to wraps, if you're with a group everybody can find something they like. There's finer dining on the top level and Au Bon Pain in the basement. My personal favorite is the 3 veggie plate from Tandoor, only $7 or so and among the best Indian food I've had in the Triangle! I've tried their meat options, too, but they're so-so. My second favorite is the Southern restaurant (I forget their name, and they're closed down for the summer), which has some of the best NC-style barbecue in the state, with very good sides, fried chicken, biscuits and gravy. All restaurants share common drink stations, with sweetened and unsweetened iced tea and various flavored waters, for only 25 cents a cup, and with free refills. No carbonated soft drinks, which is great in my opinion. You can't find everything here - no Mexican or Chinese food (though you can get terrible American Chinese nearby at Panda Express) - but chances are you'll find something you'll really like!

The food and 1st shift employees are amazing but night shift has the worst attitudes towards the customers that I have ever seen . The things that were said to me was something I would not even say to a dog. And I am talking about the location inside wake forest Baptist health hospital. I do not know about the other locations.

Obviously not the best quality food out there but for the price, it does the job. The soups are good and the salads are usually pretty fresh (especially if you go in the mornings). The oatmeal in the mornings is really hit or miss. I'm also not a fan of anything with eggs since the eggs don't even look / taste real... Would recommend getting a bagel with something else since everything pretty much comes out of a package.
