Bamboo House Chinese Restaurant

I been going to this place for quite a while. I use to love the food. I hate having to make this review knowing that but the quality of the food is just unacceptable. I been going all the way to Crab Sea to eat lately but decided to give this place one more chance. Im done after today. They served me some of the worst dry boneless ribs and dry tasteless rice I ever had today. Ruined my lunch and i tried my best to eat it for lunch at work. The meat was tough as leather. This my last time going there back to Crab Sea I go or some other place that care about the quality of food. For future reference its ok for you guys to take more then 10 minutes to make sure the quality of the food is good.

This is our favorite takeout spot in the area! The staff are always so kind and the food is fresh and delicious. I love getting the dinner or lunch combos- they are a great value and I can usually get at least 2 meals out of them. Highly recommend coming here if you want the best Chinese takeout in Durham!

I love, love, LOVEEEE Bamboo House. The customer service is PHENOMENAL- every single time. The food is always fresh and delicious, and the owner always works to accommodate any requests if applicable. I can't recommend them enough! I don't eat any Chinese anywhere else anymore, lol.

Before ordering a small egg drop soup and two spring rolls. I asked the cashier if the soup had flavor. She seemed offended and stated “No one has ever asked me that, Ofcourse it has flavor it’s soup!” She lied to me. The soup tastes like water and eggs no flavor at all. When I called to tell her she apologized. Why lie to me and sell me a bowl of water? Never again, I would not recommend.

Beef and broccoli and shrimp with broccoli combination plate was great. However, the hot and sour soup was terrible

Absolutely the worst chinese food I have ever ate .the chicken was like slime and the broccoli was even worse 😫

Ordered the shrimp fried rice and it was shrimp and rice with not much else in it. Not much taste and not visually appealing. Forgot to take a picture. Inside of the restaurant is more of a waiting your effort to go orders and set up for meals. One of the seating areas was storage area for supplies.

When I walked in and placed my order for sesame chicken and she said it would be ready in five minutes, I should have said please cancel my order because it should take longer than five minutes to prepare that dish! Sure enough, when I got home and opened the container, I could easily tell from the way it looked, it wasn’t made to order; it looked awful. While I was waiting for my order I did see there it rating and it was 92!

I will never go back there again ever!!
