We used to visit Bocci regularly and decided to return. Our visit was disappointing and concerning. While the thin crust pizza we shared was delicious, this restaurant needs major cleaning and repairs. One can only hope the kitchen is cleaner than the public areas inside. We were seating in one of their booths. The light fixture above was coated in a nice layer of dust and webs, the window sill beside us covered in crumbs and food residue, and the floor below was sticky. Fixtures in the restroom had significant areas of rust covering the metal surfaces, and the door to the one single ‘private’ stall was broken and would not latch. Very unfortunate…we will not be back.

SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN IMMEDIATELY .. I've NEVER experienced such incompetence in my life. My husband ordered a deep dish pizza online and pre paid $45.00 for it. He was told initially the pizza would be done in 15 minutes which is unbelievable for a deep dish but he waited. The 15 minutes turned into an hour. He goes to pick it up and they confirm the order for a cheap thin crust pizza with none of the toppings we ordered on it. So he had to show them the receipt of what was ordered and paid for. So they tell him they would remake the pizza and it will be 15 more minutes. I called to the store to speak with a manager to see how we would be compensated. The manager "Teasha" gets on the phone, I explain the situation and she offers a refund and to remake it. I said okay, I thanked her and hung up. My husband gets home 20 minutes later, I open the box, it's still the wrong pizza and it was cold by this time. So I'm pissed. I go to the store and asked for Teasha, she comes to the front after I hear her telling an employee my husband is lying because I guess he told her our order was still wrong. She comes to the front and I asked her how she handed him a pizza and didn't check if it was right and felt it was cold and still gave it to us. So a guy comes from the back saying our original pizza was ready and get this , he hands me a small pizza box when we ordered a large pizza ... UNBELIEVABLE.. nobody knows how to read or something? 3 pizzas and all wrong. I left all the pizza there and went to Rosati's where the pizza and service was amazing! I'll NEVER be back and would recommend everyone stay away. This place is going downhill based on recent reviews and the owner Bob, is on vacation while his staff is clearly lost, dazed and confused. Oh and while I was waiting on the manager to come out another client was waiting 2.5 hours for her order after they got hers wrong repeatedly as well. Don't waste your time or money here. Try Rosati's or V's Pizza.

The food here has declined but not as precipitously as the service. The last few times we've been it's taken 30 to 40 minutes to get our food and it wasn't even really busy. We tried to work around this by ordering Pizza prior to arriving and asking if we could eat there when we arrived but were told "we don't do that" when we asked about it. When we arrived there were only 3 tables taken in the whole place. Can't recommend this place any longer.

Very Unhappy Customer

We ordered a Chicago style deep dish pizza to be delivered, it arrived with 90% of the crust being uncooked raw dough!!! It was quite disgusting. I am unsure of how they even put it in the pizza box because it was such a soggy mess! We attempted to cook it fully ourselves but ended up literally having to throw it out. The manager is supposed to be refunding our money but I have yet to hear from her. Very disappointing to say the least!

All I wanted was Chicago style Pizza and all I got was a big ball of cheese. This is not Chicago style pizza. I have 3 pieces that didn’t even have sauce. I have never been petty Enough to actually leave a review but this pizza was bad.

This review is about the Chicago deep dish pizza. You may have read a few critical reviews of their Chicago style pizza, and they are not wrong.I’ll start off by saying the sauce and the cheese taste great. If you’re looking for a deep dish pizza to remind you of Lou Malnatis or Pizzeria Uno, you will not find it here. This pizza has no flaky crust and no saucy topping over a layer of cheese. I can tell this is a normal pizza dough, cooked in a cake pan, with a literal 1” deep layer of cheese with sauce ladled on top. The crust is nearly non existent. You have to eat the edges to experience any semblance of dough. The cheese though. There is SO MUCH CHEESE on it that the layer under the top did not melt. Look at the pictures. That’s not fettuccine, that’s mozzarella that has not yet melted through. And I get it, there’s no way you can melt all this cheese without scorching the crust. It’s a shame, we’ve tried the Nonna pizza and that did not disappoint. If you advertise Chicago Style pizza, you really need to meet the expectations of a Chicago style pizza. Thicker crust, more sauce, and WAY LESS CHEESE!

One of my favorite pizza places in the triangle. I love that they have sun dried tomatoes. Great wine list too. They should bring back the bruschetta.

Not impressed. The chicken marsala was tough, lacked flavor, and the broccoli wasn't tender. I left over half the food on the plate, and that's only because I was hungry. Sad, because the food use to be decent.

I’ve ordered the pizza from here via door-dash and it was decent. I tried sitting in today. The calamari was chewy and had a spring back effect to it. The Chicken Parm had an off taste to it and really was not edible. The lasagna was okay but it was such a small portion, surrounded by random sauce and strings of cheese. The wine had floaty pieces in it too. In restaurant experience left us very disappointed. As we were walking out, we witnessed most employees on phones, and the delivery employee slouched over the counter with phone in hand and other hand on chin. There were phones within customer view charging from the outlet. Really big let down indeed.

I have been so sick after I ate here for a late lunch. The bread was the highlight. When I got my chicken marsala, it tasted like Chinese lo mein.

Food is amazing but the service is horrible. We had to send the pizza back multiple times as it was cooked completely wrong. Our other pizza got cold during that time despite asking for it to be kept warm. The workers we interacted with were cold and uncaring. If you want to go make sure you have extra time because most times we go here we have to send something back.

This place is amazing! I've never eaten in. But it's my go to for pizza/calzone takeout.

Nona's cheese pizza is really tasty. I don't usually like pizza at Italian restaurants, and I am picky, but this one passed the test!! It is priced comparably to no coupon pizza but much much higher quality, fresh dough and real tomato. A little oily and wet in the middle but a nice crisp crust bottom and sides and tasty sharp cheese blend. Not weird or doughy. They cook it so it's a little dark. Worth a try for $15 medium and enough for leftovers. I spent $21 total with a drink and tip - sit down.
