My husband and I went today very open minded about this place. First time there on a Saturday at noon. Place was empty. We sat at the bar. The young bartender was very engaging. I wanted a glass of pinot grigio which they don't have, no worries, got a warm glass of cava. My husband got a double neat cocktail. We ordered the dates stuffed with pimento cheese wrapped in bacon. They were literally black when they came out so over cooked. I ordered the mixed greens with medium burger. My husband ordered the appetizer chili ( which looked and tasted like Hormel chili from a can) It was gritty and basically inedible. We ordered another wine and double of bourbon. Our bill was $121.00. My wine in a ball jar was reasonably priced, his chili was on the appetizer menu, my burger on greens was okay, it was the $65.00 charge for 2 doubles of Elijah craig bourbon that was ridiculous. The sweet girl behind the bar was instructed to clean the glass while patrons were there. Shame on management! That should be done after hours. We truly wanted this to be a new go to place, but will never go back!

I have never come across a place that had so much potential, that fell so flat! Durham is a need of a good restaurant with excellent burgers and beer! However, this place is not it. I ordered a burger to be medium and it came out almost completely raw. If you’re gonna be a burger joint, then you better have an amazing burger. All the toppings were on point but the execution was not. The flagship beer was so flat that it was almost skunk. I understand now why the place was completely empty. It was just my wife and I. Not only was the food and drink subpar, but the prices were astronomical. We didn’t get a full meal and it was $52. I don’t see this place being open very long.

So I stumbled on this place searching on google for soft serve ice cream, which I never seem to find. You may think that silly but I love a great chocolate soft serve cone and I never seem to be able to find anyone who makes it anymore. It seems like most places serve only yogurt 🥲 If you’re as silly as I am, look no further my soft serve ice cream lover. They even make it from scratch in-house!!! Oh and the rest of their food is good too! 😂

The quesadilla and the Lipstick on a Pig were wonderful ! Very fresh and delicious! And we loved the Blueberry Weiss too! Cool atmosphere!

I really want to like this place, but my first two visits (Wednesday afternoon, Tuesday evening), the service was friendly, but unreasonably slow. (like 30m with an empty dining room) And the food portions inconsistent. After seeing 8 different “pocket” burritos, I saw a variation of more than 2x from the smallest to largest.
I really enjoyed the Broc' n Roll Burrito, I think this is my new favorite burrito. The Fitness in My Mouth (fried chicken) burrito was really good but extremely salty. And the Lipstick on a Pig (collards and bbq) burrito, was interesting and delicious, but a bit heavy for the regular rotation.
The french fries would have been really good if they had been served hot, but instead they were barely warm so just ok.

They had so many problems getting our orders to us that they brought us 2 tokens for free ice cream... We attempted to redeem them for a brownie sundae, but the ice cream machine didn't seem to be working, so after waiting another 15+ minutes, we just accepted a cold brownie with no ice cream and cut our losses.

Edit: I went back a third time. My friend's meal came in a very reasonable amount of time... She waited for a while, but eventually ate her sandwich... and was basically finished eating before mine was delivered... we ordered sequentially at the counter. looks like they still need to work on their process.

Amazing place! We come here several times a month! Love how they have a kids play area for the little ones to play while you wait for your food! Plus they have outdoor games as well as pinball machines! The black, blue and bbq burger is AMAZING!!! Their bbq sauce is the best I’ve ever had. And their pickles are absolutely AMAZING! I honestly recommend this place to EVERYONE!
