Good bar to grab a beer. I'm not sure how I feel about the new food options. I kinda miss the food from back around 2010, but that's just me.

We used to love coming to Bull McCabe anytime we wanted good sandwiches or burgers and some drinks. The atmosphere remains great with plenty of seating and nice lights on the lawn. But the one star is still justified because of how disappointed we were in the food tonight. I was craving my go to mushroom Philly and Caesar salad and my husband was wanting a burger. But we discovered they changed their menu to be an Indian inspired menu but also with random bar food (none of them vegetarian) or Mediterranean (falafel, hummus). It was so confusing. As a vegetarian who was in no mood for Indian food (despite that being my favorite cuisine) and not expecting it at an Irish pub, I was forced to get a kids mac and cheese and hummus and falafel. The pasta was gross. The falafel was so overly fried and rock hard. You also can’t order beer with the QR code like before which was so convenient, you have to go up to the window. It was SUCH a disappointing meal. The only good thing was that we discovered this horrible change tonight so we no longer have our anticipated plans to come with a large group next week for my birthday. I really hope this is temporary and they bring back the Philly and all the other popular dishes.

Me and my wife used to love this place for the food but last time we came we were extremely disappointed. They changed their menu to an India food concept. We loved Indian food to the point we catered Indian food for our wedding, but still didn’t understand the concept. Food was totally forgettable, not cheap, and honestly doesn’t make any sense for the place, and Irish pub. I really hope they go back to their former menu which we really like specially all the vegetarian options.

Menu change has been atrocious. There are loads of better pubs in Durham, including one right down the street. Not worth it.

I have loved Bull McCabes for years and have even gone as far as to title it one of my favorite spots in Durham for food and drinks. I was so disappointed to learn that the menu has substantially changed. I came for lunch a few times each month and loved getting the Smash Burger with fries and the ranch - no more smash burger AND you changed your ranch??? So disappointing. I unfortunately was underwhelmed by the new options and will not be recommending going further.

Great pub with absolutely delicious food, fairly priced drinks, and friendly service. I really appreciated the music not being too loud, and I was able to catch up with some friends I haven't seen in awhile.

Since you don’t allow anyone to comment on your instagram I’ll post it here..
Besides the fries this place is pretty damn mid, I wouldn't call it a Irish pub by any means you barely have any authentic Irish food you're now adding different types of food that aren't even Irish?, you don't allow dogs outside anymore, then you Id everyone and give them a wristband after 8pm like it's a club or something. Sounds like your new management is gonna make it even worse than it already is.
So disappointed about the menu change.
No longer an Irish pub.
Great place. Shame they moved from an Irish pub to yet another mediocre Indian food place. You can get better food from multiple places nearby. Go to this place for an Irish pub vibe, dont stay for the terrible updated menu. Just not worth waiting around anymore. They get more than 1 star just because the atmosphere is so good. Shame the food is under new management, cause they aren't doing a good job
