Not being from the area, we rely on reviews to find tasty vittles. Byrds BBQ is deserving of all the stars. Their brisket is some of the best we have had, and we have had a lot. The hush puppies were a nice surprise and even the tea was above average. Highly recommend.

BY FAR THE BEST BBQ PLACE IN DURHAM! The customer service AND FOOD was amazing. Emily greeted us with a friendly smile and the food was exceptional. We got BBQ, potato salad, and collard greens. We highly recommend this establishment. There is plenty of parking on the left side and plenty of places to sit inside and out. Thank you so much! - Melissa and Nate

Got to enjoy Byrd's twice while visiting Durham and will definitely return on a next visit. For dinner, we had 1.5lbs beef brisket, 1lb. pulled bbq, with sides of mashed potatoes, mac cheese, fried okra, corn nuggets, and my new favorite - Brunswick stew. The meats were perfectly tender and flavourful. It was my first time having Brunswick stew and it was perfect for a chilly evening.
The 2nd time we had it was for breakfast and again, would definitely return!
