Recently stayed as relative had surgery @ Duke. The rooms are clean & efficient. What made my stay most important were 1. Close to hospital. One block away making it an easy walk to & from. 2. The shuttle service was great saving daily parking fees and added much convenience. 3. Staff - Jesse, the hotel manager, was extremely helpful & accommodating. Amanda one of the check in staff went above & beyond for several requests I made. Harry, the shuttle driver, was quickly available when requesting rides to & from the hospital as well as very kind. There was another gentleman who assisted with issues I had when a light didn't work who was very nice and was able to attend to what asked. When one is very distressed while a close family or friend is hospitalized it is the little touches and understanding that does not make your day any more stressful. The staff know this and extend empathy in the jobs they do and it makes such a big difference.

Rooms are very clean and nice the only issue would be having some type of curtain on the windows other than the little thin see through blind on them. When your next to the parking at night the lights shine in so bright when you're trying to sleep and also the courtesy of other people staying there not filling their cooler full of ice at midnight when the ice machine is right outside the doors of the rooms.

I was very please with my stay on Oct 21. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. They were very understanding when I was late checking out due to doctors appointments. It was a great experience. I definitely would highly recommend this hotel. I will stay there again in the future. Harry was was the best shuttle driver. He was very polite. He dropped my sister and me at our apartments on time. We did not have to wait long for his service. He went beyond with his service with finding my sister jacket. The service we received from the hotel took alot of stress off of me. Thank you again for wonderful hospitality.

No longer exist, as of July 7, 2020. 1/2 star.

I found the staff very cold. Not a welcoming face in sight. For the money it costs, it's not worth it. I thought it would be nice and clean, but even the floors are sticky. My son is just recovering from a transplant surgery and they didn’t even offer us a handicap room for safer bathing. Idk if they even have one. The room was very musty and hard for me to sleep. Some of the fixtures in the bathroom are broken. The front desk doesn't know how to work their own TV. I'm so upset....NEVER staying here again. What a waste.

It no longer is called Cambria and was therefore a little hard to find it on the street. I seem to have arrived the day management changed because nothing advertised was true. No food for breakfast or supper. No daily cleaning of rooms. So not sure of disinfecting told me over the phone. But staff was friendly and helpful. One fancy LED bedside light would take 3 weeks to fix.

Had a drink in the bar with a friend who was staying here. Pretty good selection for a hotel bar

Great location, across the street from the VA and Duke Hospitals. Room was comfortable and the staff was friendly.

Absolutely loved our stay! Lisa behind the counter is reason enough. Like many visitors, we stayed at the Cambria to be close to Duke Hospital for my dad’s triple bypass heart surgery and recovery. Speaking with Lisa, she continually asked how my dad and mom were holding up. She added us to her prayer list and genuinely cared how we were doing. If that’s not service, I don’t know what is. Thank you Lisa and Cambria for a great stay.

They will literally cheat you. The front desk lady charged me for an extra night when I checked in at 1AM without telling me. Additionally everyone on the staff in this hotel from the front desk to the bar/ breakfast lady and the manager are super rude. I will definitely not recommend this place. They might have a great location but the management is really poor.
