Katelyn is the sweetest person! The ice storm last week disrupted our plans and she was kind enough to accommodate us picking up our cake the following week. We got the small circle cake that serves 6-8 people and it was taller than expected and was plenty to go around!

After many back and forth pictures and finalizing the details Katelyn created the perfect cake to highlight the Woodland theme baby shower for my daughter and her husband. She was very patient, kind and customer oriented while providing her recommendations as a professional baker. The cake was a hit and delicious! She was wonderful to collaborate with and provided prompt and timely replies and feedback.

I loved my wedding cake! It was exactly what I wanted. Communication was great, which I really appreciated during wedding planning. The tasting boxes were a nice touch, and the strawberry cake with strawberry buttercream was excellent. I would definitely recommend her to any bride.

Capital Cakes is the way to go if you want a phenomenal cake that not only looks amazing but tastes delicious as well. Katelyn is awesome at what she does and believe me you will not be disappointed. When I contacted Katelyn I was about a week away from my event because I struggled with communication from the baker I was working with but Katelyn made things stress free regardless of what timeline she was working on. I feel like it was meant for me to reach out to her once I found her because the experience was everything I could ask for and more. From her communication to flexibility she is a dream come true. Don't think about it, Just Do It. Trust me you wont regret it!

Beautiful and delicious cake, and they were able to do it short notice. I really enjoyed designing the cake over email! I am not very creative but they took my basic parameters and made a wonderful fall themed cake for my wife's birthday. Thank you!

I ordered a cake here for my friends birthday and we all absolutely loved how it turned out. The cake was exactly what I asked for and it was soo beautiful! We picked vanilla cake with strawberry buttercream and it was phenomenal!! Would definitely order again!

My partner and I got a tasting box to sample the available flavors and then ordered a 3-tier cake for the ~80 guests at our wedding. The cake looked beautiful and matched the 'simple and elegant' classic wedding cake design that we had in mind. More importantly, it tasted delicious.

The website was easy to use and it was straightforward to find the information on cake sizes and pricing.

We loved our wedding cake! We tried 5 different cake shops in the triangle area and this was our favorite. Not only was it beautiful on the outside but the chocolate ganache was to die for. Everything was customizable and the cake and stand was delivered to our venue.

We used Capital Cakes for our wedding. Katelyn did an absolutely amazing job with our cake and cupcakes! She helped us get the design just right and was so easy to work with, and the cake was gorgeous. The cake and the cupcakes were delicious, and our guests raved about the desserts. When I saw Katelyn’s work for wedding cakes, I prayed that she would be available for our wedding because WOW–her work is just stunning. The cake she made for us was exactly what we were hoping for and more. She got everything from the color to the texture to the taste just right. I cannot even begin to describe how delicious her cake tasted. We also ordered gluten free and vegan cupcake options–I could have just had those at our wedding and been happy; they were delicious. I cannot recommend Capital Cakes enough–Katelyn is a master at her craft!
