Great desserts! The red velvet cake is a must-try. The fried chicken snack was delicious not salty at all. Not a long wait.

I’ve patronized this place for years, so this isn’t a one-off rant , it’s a pattern. Customer service here is wildly inconsistent, leaning heavily toward subpar.

Today I arrived at 4:38 PM. Google says you close at 5:00 PM. The sign on the door says 5:00 PM. Yet I was immediately met with, “We closed, we gotta be outta here by 5.” That’s not how business hours work.

This is the second time this has happened. The first time, I arrived 45 minutes before closing and it turned into a full-blown scene. I asked (politely) that the hours be updated on Google because people literally plan their drive around that info. Instead, an argument broke out between staff and the cook over whether my order should be made. I stood there like a child watching adults argue. Awkward doesn’t even cover it.

One staff member eventually apologized and was genuinely kind, which is the only reason I gave this place another chance. And yet — here we are again.

In the five minutes I stood there today, six other people showed up and were turned away. One woman drove from Raleigh and was told they weren’t taking orders because staff doesn’t get paid overtime. Another customer was a quadriplegic, who made the effort to get there with assistance, only to be turned away as well. Sad to see.

By 4:49 PM, staff were gone, doors locked, lights off.

If you’re closing earlier than posted, update your hours. Until then, this is unprofessional, inconsiderate, and disrespectful to people’s time... especially loyal customers.

Wife went there the day before Christmas to get blue crabs. A customer was nice enough to help her put them in a bag. When she got home, we had 7 medium crabs and 1 was dead and it costed $38.81... I figured they may have made a mistake at the scale, so I called them to ask. I was told that a manager was not available but spoke with a woman who has no business addressing the public who said there was nothing they were going to do to make things right but if I wanted to bring back the dead crab, she would give me a live one. Try to help our own and this is what you get. Shame on them for treating customers this way. Will never go there ever again after spending 100s of dollars there in the past.

My food was delicious My mom got the beef ribs my daughter got the lunch combo fish and shrimps My son got the barbecue sandwich and I got the gizzards My gizzard was a little bit rubbery but I can't complain and I didn't do a bad review because all the other food was great would order again as a matter of fact I'm going in the morning at 9:00 a.m. Thank you
