If you are in Durham NC you should absolutely try this place out!! Well worth it. Prices are reasonable and food is fantastic!! We stopped by this bakery on our way out of town because we were staying in the Double Tree right across the road. My biggest regret is that we didn't go earlier!! The atmosphere is both charming and welcoming. We bought several of the baked items including, Italian Rainbow cookies which have been my favorite since I was a child The flavor of the cookie was the best I've had since getting them from the bakeries in NY. We also got 2 polish donuts one filled with a lemon curd and one with peach, a fresh sliced rosemary and sea salt bread and a chocolate filled croissant. All of the items were made fresh on site and you could 100% tell. They were amazing! The lemon curd was both tart and sweet, the warm chocolate croissant was flaky and buttery these items were just perfectly balanced and exactly what you would expect. I also ordered a breakfast sandwich, egg, bacon and cheese on a polish everything bagel. Would HIGHLY recommend trying it. The service at the counter was great and the baker even came over to explain the difference between vanilla extract and vanilla paste. It just struck me that this baker took the time to stop what they were doing in order to explain something to me. He seemed to genuinely enjoy explaining the differences.

I’ve been dying too have some made from scratch croissants, that’s what mainly drove me to come try this bakery out. We had a croissant, polish donut filled with blueberry, two bacon egg & cheese and bechamel sauce bagels, and two iced lattes. Everything was amazing and so was the customer service. So happy to have found a local owned bakery, we’re lacking those around here!

Love the pastries and pierogi here. The variety is good and flavors remind me of Poland! The kołaczki and pączki are great, not over-sweet, and the pierogi are tasty.
Since our two closest Eastern European markets have closed, I was very excited to find pierogi and bought 4 packs of supposedly 6 each. I anticipated this as dinner for two people for two nights, but sadly the next day I discovered the last two packs only had 3 each. This was really disappointing, and the reason for the only 2 stars rating.

very underwhelmed by the experience. ordered some egg and cheese bagels and a strawberry spread one. To my shocker they put strawberry jam on a bagel and called it a spread bagel and too was just barely there. Went in and said strawberry spread means a cream cheese spread not a jam spread. no refunds offered and i ordered a cream cheese bagel, again barely any cream cheese on it. the egg cheese bagels were just ok barely. if u r in town and just want a no non-sense bagel - this might not be your place
