My daughter is an incoming freshman at NCCU and we came down to move her into school. We searched for best fried chicken in the area and The Chicken Hut came up. We arrived at 1145am and as soon as we walked in the front door we were greeted with a smile. I’m not going to lie this was definitely a great start for this experience. Everything is great. What else is there to say? The fried foods are cooked to order, and the sides are seasoned extremely well. A well-rounded, great soul food meal. I can’t wait to come back the next time in Durham.

Came in after seeing a Facebook post about their food — definitely glad I did! The fried chicken was super tasty, and the staff were kind and welcoming. The lady at the front register had such a genuine smile, it really added to the experience. I’ll definitely be back!
