Let’s just say the price they charge for food it should definitely taste better. Especially with the attitude on the side by the woman in the front taking orders. I’m from New York and the attitude is extremely aggressive. I ordered Chicken wings with house special fried rice. And added a chicken wing because the original order only came with 3. I also got a shrimp egg roll plus a can soda total $20 dollars. Rice: extremely soft like over cooked no flavor but the best thing on the plate if you add lots of hot sauce and duck sauce it was like rice mashed potatoes. The meat and shrimp in the rice undercooked. Chickens: horrible soggy and not cooked all the way. Example its like they cook it until it got a little crispy but forgot the inside needs to be cooked. Not fresh at all. And being that they charge 50 cent per wing if you use your card because as per their sign there is a shortage of wings you would think that the wings are top tier. So disappointed. Shrimp egg roll. Was a nice size but only had 2 shrimp and a lot of cabbage. But the rice was full of shrimps that’s a plus.
The restaurant is clean. But maybe they need more hands on deck because the food is not it. I advise you to try your food before you leave.

Ordered the Szechuan beef and was cooked perfectly but suffered from a severe lack of seasoning and heat level was a one if that. Not the norm so will take this as a one off and hope it's not a trend.
Dietary restrictions: Pretty good at customizing your food if you tell them in advance about any restrictions you have.
Wheelchair accessibility: Like most places these days they have handicap parking and you can eat comfortably at the tables.

We've been going here since they opened and the food has always been delicious. Best Chinese food in Durham. I think some of these reviews are for a different restaurant as I have never experienced rude service and they don't have a drive thru. I hope this place stays open for a very long time.

I ordered 2 shrimp egg rolls and there were no shrimp in the egg rolls. When I go back I give her the egg roll and she put the egg roll in the basket and get another one out and show me that there are two 2 shrimp in the egg roll. First of all if I order shrimp egg rolls there should be more than 2 shrimp and second why did you not look at the one I brought back. Then you look at me like I'm lying. My Family will never eat here again. Because this is the second time I have had an incident there. Terrible restaurant

The woman at the counter was rude upon arrival. Seemed like she didn’t want us there so we granted her wish and left. I won’t be spending money in establishments that can’t even greet customers nicely and the owner or whoever has an attitude. I wouldn’t recommend spending your money here if you are not treated well as well. ☺️

The gentleman behind the counter stated they were out for everything I attempted to order so I canno comment on how the food tastes or the atmosphere. I love any dish from China King. The dishes are always fresh and the flavors are authentic. I have been searching in Durham for 5 years or longer for the freshest seasonal vegetables cooked in authentic Chinese style. The food is delicious and I come here whenever I am hungry for healthy Chinese flavors. The staff is so pleasant and I love the cleanliness and quiet and peaceful atmosphere when I eat in.

My husband called to try to order food and requested that they chopped their chicken wings. We have three young children and it’s easy for them to eat their food in smaller portions. The lady started to speak but he had a hard time hearing her because it was noisy in their background. He politely asked her to repeat herself and she sucked her teeth. The lady had an attitude and said “man, we don’t have time to chop your wings”. My husband told her he’ll order from somewhere else because her attitude was poor. She said “that’s fine”.My husband is an active duty military member and serves this country with dignity. We drove hours to visit my sick grandmother in the hospital and were extremely hungry. We didn’t deserve this treatment or to be handled the way we were.DO NOT EAT HERE
