It’s 1:10 , I tried to call in and order ahead but there servers are offline and they don’t close till 4am , so I walked in to order and the lady working cashier was so mad and unwelcoming . Her attitude was ridiculous . I’ve been going to cosmic for YEARS I don’t know if I can return after that .

The guy taking customer orders (could be the manager) was very pleasant. The food was good. There were refills on fountain drinks while dining in. The handles for turning water on and off were missing in the women's restroom but were available in the men's restroom (where I ended up washing my hands).

It was a great stop for dinner after 9:00. They weren't packed at that time. The back patio is nice and open. Even with just a few people inside, I can imagine the dining area could feel a little cramped if they're at capacity. Service is quick, and it helps that they have a speaker system to call out order names, but the speaker doesn't project outside. So if you sit outside, you may need to step in and check on your order. Service was great, very polite and food was quick. Quick. The food was also very tasty (I had a mushroom and spinach quesadilla). I'm looking forward to going back and trying more of the menu.

Don’t worry about that sanitation rating— I had a chicken burrito after working up an appetite at a house party, and that mess was bussin bussin, no questions asked. Had no digestive issues to follow. Come with low expectations, expect great things.
A walk up memory lane. I came here as a high school student 20 years ago and am thankful this late night staple is still going strong today. They have delicious Mexican classic favorites and drinks in a fun, casual setting with music and an outdoor rooftop area. A Durham favorite you can’t miss!
This is a fantastic gem near Duke University and the School of North Carolina science and math. I used to come here as a student for a heck of a deal on a massive burrito. The prices have doubled since I was in school, but they're still reasonable compared to many other locations nearby. The in-house hot sauce is a must try.
