Ordered a nursery set from Costco.com- DO NOT WATSE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!! The wrong item was delivered. Fine, mistakes happen. Called customer service and was told they couldn't do anything because it needed to go through the furniture department. Waited for a call from them, nothing. My husband has had to call over 6 or 7 times trying to return the item for the correct one. They say they will call back and they don't. Almost a week later I get a delivery experience survey, I give poor ratings and like magic a call comes that night, and come to find out the product we ordered is now out of stock. STILL no call back about someone coming to pick up the 500 pound furniture. Horrible experience, still unresolved and it seems that no one cares. DO NOT PURCHASE.

Products are good reasonable price. But one cashier named Megan S. Was so rude doesn’t have a customer skills at all insulting a customer not cool. She should be working in a low class club.

I was completely embarrassed today at this store when trying to purchase close to $60-$70 worth of items. We got to the register and was denied the opportunity to purchase our items because the member pictured on the card was not present (we were given the card with permission to use it). Never had this issue before but apparently that's the policy. Fine, but to prevent people from having to put back a cart full of items, check the IDs at the door for the person pictured! To

To add insult to injury, we were told it's free to add someone to your membership. So you're not losing out on money you're just making things difficult. No offer to sign up for our own membership quickly or do a free trial so that we could complete our purchase. Instead the manager just takes the items. Terrible customer service. Not only did you lose out on sale but also lost a customer. I understand policies but as I have detailed there were options you all could have offered to resolve the issue rather than taking my groceries as if we couldn't pay.

Love this Costco, it's a gem in Durham honestly. I've been a Costco gal for years, the other wholesale competitor in the area (I won't name names) just doesn't do it for me. I've been driving up here from the Brier Creek area for some time now and it's always worth the trip. This location always has what I'm looking for, and usually a lot of what I'm not but still end up buying. Parking doesn't seem great but I've never had to wait for a spot and the staff are friendly. Staff are masked and adhering to social distancing, some customers may need a reminder but I'll just attribute that to the holiday rush. My only qualm with this Costco is that it doesn't get all the cool retail items that some of the "larger" locations get. I use quotes because let's be honest, has anyone ever seen a small Costco? Exactly. Something I did think was odd was that they were still giving free samples. Some were individually packaged which was great, into the pocket you go (I got two dog treat samples) but the ones that weren't were a hard pass for me. The person giving them out had gloves and a mask but there's just too much going on in there for that mini croissant to be worth my life. Until next time, see you in the Costco line - socially distanced of course!

I'm not sure how I could have not reviewed Costco for all these years but here goes! Costco. The best place to bulk shop, period. I shop at Costco more than I should admit and love how they have so many organic choices these days. Staples here are organic Bella mushrooms, organic quinoa, organic zucchini/squashies, organic almond milk, organic chicken broth, pistachios and pine nuts. Pine nuts are generally expensive but it's so nice to see things in bulk so that you don't have to consistently stock up. The Dave's bread 2 pack for $6.99 is also a steal - since one loaf usually runs you the same price at Whole Foods. I enjoy new brands, and with new foods and products at Costco, every time you shop, you see something intriguing. The only thing that drives me a bit bonkers is that they move products often so that you can't just memorize the spot, grab and go. It's almost a scavenger hunt at times, especially when they moved chicken broth 3 aisles away from where I'm used to it being but oh well, you get some exercise in! Have had a few grumpy cashiers but staff for the most part are friendly and helpful. It takes a huge operation to keep Costco running so thanks for all y'all do!

At the time of writing this review, this Costco in Durham only has a three-star average rating with 69 reviews. That surprises me because based on my experience, this Costco doesn't differ significantly from other Costco stores I've been to in North Carolina, Georgia, and California. Our trips to this Costco aren't much different than any other Costco. We're able to find what we need, good quality and in bulk, at reasonable prices, and we fill up our cars' gas tanks too. Our family has been big fans of Costco for years. There are three Costco stores in the Triangle: (1) this one in Durham, (2) one in Apex, west of Raleigh, and (3) one in Raleigh. Of the three, this one is closest to Chapel Hill. I like the Kirkland Signature brand. I like the quality and value of the Kirkland Signature line. Kirkland Signature products I've purchased regularly over the years include vitamins, fish oil, frozen salmon, antihistamines, 13-gallon trash bags with drawstrings (the best), and golf balls (K-Sigs are terrific). Kirkland Signature products my wife likes to buy include Greek yogurt, olive oil, vodka, margarita mix, maple syrup, paper towels, and napkins. She also used to love getting Kirkland Signature K-Cups for her Keurig coffee and espresso machine before we got our Nespresso machine. If Kirkland Signature ever comes out with Nespresso pods, I bet they'd be good too. If you couldn't tell from the above, Costco is one of our go-to stores when we want to stock up on groceries and household supplies. My wife typically purchases bread and produce from Costco. Produce we normally get includes avocados, bananas, blueberries, celery sticks, mangoes, tomatoes, and watermelons. She also likes getting frozen fruits to put in our homemade smoothies which are made with our Vitamix blender (also from Costco). I've lived off the frozen foods from Costco for about two decades now. The aforementioned frozen salmon has been a staple, but so has chicken, personal-sized pizzas, and yakisoba noodles. Also, quinoa and kale, burritos, Jamaican beef patties, and more. Snacks like KIND Bars and Heavenly Hunks Organic Oatmeal Dark Chocolate Cookies and dressings like Avocado Goddess are great to get here too. Toothpaste and Glide floss are staple toiletries we acquire along with laundry (Tide) and dishwasher (Cascade ActionPacs) detergent for when we wash clothes and dishes. Another item my wife loves to get from Costco are boxes of Kirkland Signature green tea, sencha and matcha blend (produced by Ito En). The Samsung 4K UHD TV and versatile Shark vacuum cleaner in our new apartment in Chapel Hill also came from Costco as did the three succulents which decorate our living room. We appreciate that Costco is taking the COVID-19 pandemic seriously and requiring everyone inside to wear masks. Something we've noticed at this store and the Greensboro store are signs that list in-stock and out-of-stock items before you enter the store. They're helpful. During the pandemic, we didn't see signs like these at the two metro Atlanta stores we frequent (Brookhaven and Cumberland). Maybe it's a North Carolina thing. The gas station outside is one of the smaller Costco gas stations I've seen with 12 pumps: yelp.com/biz/costco-gaso… . If all you need is gas, then Costco is a great place to fill up because their gas prices are consistently competitive.

WHITE GLOVE delivery service failed to fulfill services. The WHITE GLOVE service contract is to DELIVER and INSTALL the new dishwasher, and then HAUL AWAY the old dishwasher. They DELIVERED the dishwasher, did NOT know how to INSTALL, refused to send someone who could, then did NOT HAUL the old one away. The local vendor failed to fulfill the contract. COSTCO refused to do anything about it. Said, "sorry but the time has run out." I had to pay for the installment and pick-up myself.COSTCO is a great company in so many ways, but I will never trust them again with a service contract.

For me, the jury is still out on this store. I've been here a number of times since May and some experiences have been fantastic while others have been disappointing. Audiologist group is great - respectful, easy to talk to, will not oversell products a person does not need. Optometry department was horrid to us while looking for eyeglass frames for my daughter, just downright rude, sanctimonious, and didn't seem to care if they got our business. Despite my daughter finding frames she liked there, I took her somewhere else where my business would be appreciated. The general shopping is decent if one is aware of prices across town or at other stores - just because it's a big box buy in bulk store doesn't mean one is getting the best price. Some products are priced to be worth it for me to shop here, others I would have to go elsewhere for.Tried to find DVD or Blu-Ray players here - not stocked? I guess I'll have to go to Best Buy or BJ's instead.

My experience stopped at the door, negative attitude even asked to speak to a manager yet they reported me to security. Because I didn't had my membership add on me all I want it is to check on a product availability before standing at the line to get a card print out. Manager Denis has no regard or consideration for customer she left me standing by the door while my wife went to get a card. I understand policy but customer service is first no one going to Costco if you don't have a membership or you not considering one. I would ask for a membership refund if I can and take my business back to amazon/sams if I can

Store aisles need lane directions to avoid breaching social distancing 6’ft rule, the lanes are at least 8-9’ft wide. The store is clean the cashiers are doing an amazing job, they deserve a raise

Michael in Membership Services is wonderful. He went above and beyond to help my daughter. She is a college student and her laptop died. With assignments due soon, she needed a laptop fast. We found a good deal on an HP Pavilion x360 at Costco in Durham. Since she is a first-year student, she doesn't have a car so she had to Uber. She got there just before closing which I'm sure caused Michael to stay late. He was quick, efficient and kind in getting her membership. With his help, she was able to buy her laptop just in time before closing. Excellent customer service! Being kind to these young adults is a great way to build loyalty to Costco for both stressed-out college students and their grateful parents. Thanks Michael!!!
