This bar is the gem of Durham! The staff is absolutely magnificent! Melvin, Javonne, and James are very welcoming and kind. When my daughter was a freshman last year, Melvin gave us the most genuine and caring reception. He told us about all the places to see in Durham, best restaurants, parks, hotels, etc. We introduced Melvin to our daughter, and every time she passed through, Melvin remembered her, and said to say hi to her parents. Just OK. Bartender was not friendly. $8 for a pint of cider/beer. Decent on tap selection in general, though. Atmosphere isn't super inviting. Very conveniently located if you want to meet on-campus. It's located in one of the Student Unions at Duke.
