First time here. It was a Saturday night. The place is pretty small so not a good idea to plan a group meet up. Unless you're sitting outdoors perhaps. There was only one waitress for an entire side. Took a while to get menus and to be seated for the group of about 10. Took about 30 min or so to get food, but not because it wasn't ready. Our waitress was serving as a bartender as well and didn't pick up the food. So, needless to say the food wasn't very warm....
Durham Native. As the city grows so do the dining options after spending a decade or so traveling and being away from home. We started exploring the new Downtown Durham which has changed a great deal over the years. Alot of the restaurants in the area are cheap gimmicks, pretentious and disappointing. But what remains a constant is Devines. It stands out in this new world offering the same classic hoemtown sports bar vibe that i grew up with. But it does not stumble on delivering...
Went here while waiting on the train, the food & atmosphere was great. Great place to watch sports. Adam, one of the bartenders, was exceptional - he dealt with some weird complaints and yet, remained humble and professional. Great dive bar and highly recommend for travelers to drop by!!
