Loved going here. Will 100% be going back as much as I can manage. Free pool if you buy a drink, friendly people, amazing bartender. Got there around 5pm so I got a table right away and shot pool for hours, made some friends too!

DJ's Dive (previously Doyle's) reminds me of the bar in Cheers where everyone knows your name and if they don't, they will when you leave! I enjoy walking in the door and seeing old friends and having a beer with them. The clientele is mixed ages, races, and educational levels and EVERYONE enjoys each other!The bartenders are wonderful and super friendly. The jukebox rocks and with several TVs you can always catch a game or two.DJ's also have pool tables and other games.Parking can be a little challenging depending on day/time of visit and prices depend on how much you drink!!Parking: DJ's is a hidden jewel in SW Durham. It's located off University Dr and Chapel Hill Rd in a neighborhood.

I went to play pool there and I have before the guy at the counter decided to be a j*** when he told me it was 21 up and when he could have had a better attitude when I turn 21 next year I strongly advise to stay away

Ty, Chris, and Matt are fantastic bartenders- 5 star service every time!Edit* I in sound body and mind hereby say that it’s been 40 days and 40 nights and this bar is still super cool and amazing. Jay is the hottest bartender come see him and be amazed at his awesomeness. Chris and Jess also very cool but not as hot. Thhis review has not been paid for. Love and kisses.

Nice diverse crowd. A very good place to go to play a game of pool, darts, jenga, connect four and other arcade games for adults. A good place to come and unwind and enjoy yourself.
Good music plenty of tables to play pool. Even seen some comical event happen while we were there. I happened to go on a Monday night. Still was good.

A great bar to mingle and get good (cheap) drinks. Everyone is welcoming. The drinks are strong and cheaper than anywhere in town. All of the bartenders are attentive and personable. Pool tables are free to play as long as you purchase something at the bar. If you're not up for pool there's plenty of of other games ( air hockey, skew ball, basketball, etc). Open till 2am which is rare compared to other Durham bars! Every day is a good day at DJ's Dive
