Stayed here just a night when in Durham on business and found the rooms to be clean, affording a nice view of downtown Durham. In particular however we appreciated the kind and courteous staff and the nice snack/breakfast! In particular, we appreciated Betty in the food service area, who went out of her way to take careof us and Raymond, who was so lovely and kind helping us with our car! Nice people just make your stay!Food & drinks: Wonderful breakfast with nice selection of hot and cold items and drinks.

They have little Ratatouille's and Yea u definitely dont wanna work here it sucks, no respect from upper management. I worked in the kitchen and they use the same ingredients that they use in the prison systems especially the eggs and grits, and the head chefs dont wear gloves.Food & drinks: I used to work in the kitchen as a prep person for the head chefs and yes every now and then i would see a lil friend ( rat ) down under the oven eating the leftover that the chefs dont clean upNoteworthy details: Food will make u sick

Been here last week and met the best bartender ever Stuart. He’s a great company and excellent bartender and made perfect old fashion!

I didn't stay at the Marriott. I was there watching a dance competition. The problem with this place is their parking deck. It took us 30-45 minutes to get out. We sat in one place for the longest time. I don't know if it was the gate or operator error. Other than that, it was a great time.

I was there for an event at the convention center. They have very few handicap parking which they had blocked off so you couldn't use them and when you complain their attitude is very negative and rude.

Best breakfast I've had from a hotel that offers.

Had some maintenance issues (no heat in the room, broken elevator that increased wait times) but the staff were friendly and the manager followed up after.

Checked in late in the day after a full day traveling through weather delays. Staff very friendly and accommodating to our needs. Looking forward to our stay. Disappointed in the availability of food options.

This is my first time ever writing a review, and it’s all thanks to Stuart (the bartender at the hotel restaurant, Table South). I had the absolute blessing of coming to the hotel restaurant and being served by Stuart. My job allows me to travel every single day, and I am always experiencing new people, restaurants, and different levels of service. I have never had a better experience at a restaurant and it’s all thanks to Stuart. I watched him, as he went out of his way to make a connection with all of the Customers that came to the bar. He created an experience I’ll never forget and I am looking forward to coming back to this hotel just for his service. The world needs more people like Stuart. I hope anyone who comes here in the future has the pleasure of being served by him.

Staff is the best! What is not so great is that the room stinks like stale air. The problem is there are no windows that open to allow fresh air in. I lowered the temperature in the room and asked for a fan to make it tolerable. After you leave, you have to wash all the clothes you brought in and your hair.

Staff were very nice, friendly, and helpful. They accidentally sent me up to a dirty room at first, but when I came back down, they gave me access to the "M Club," so I could have free breakfast and snacks throughout my stay.Location close to quite a few restaurants.Nothing exceptional about the rooms or the gym, but they did the trick for what I needed!

Location is great. And now the bad. While the flooring in our room was not carpeted (that's a plus), this did not help with the roach situation. We stayed three nights on the fourth floor. Found two live roaches - one large one crawling on the table under the TV around 7pm (husband smacked it with a shoe). The other roach was a smaller one I encountered in the middle of the night in the bathroom (did not smack because my husband was asleep). Yuck. On the day of check-out, I was moving the pile of dirty towels out of the way in the bathroom for housekeeping and the little roach scurried away from the pile of dirty towels. I should've smacked it when I had the chance. Bottom-line... would not stay again unless you'd like some little roommates.Rooms: Roach motel
