Nice little area within the museum. On my way out, I picked up a hot cup of tea for my ride home. The young man who waited on me was extremely kind and patient. It was a happy ending to w pleasant experience.

Best mocha! Located inside the museum gift store by the entrance. I think the coffee itself is from Joe Van Gogh coffee.

Have you ever heard of reasonably priced museum food? Me either. We stopped by today during one of our visits to the museum of life and sciences (note this inside the museum so you'll need to be a member or pay for admission to access this restaurant). We ordered fries and they were enormous and came within a minute of ordering and they were under $4. (This price is so pleasantly surprising because we recently went to a zoo where a side of fries costs $8 and chicken tenders and fries costs $18.) The fries weren't gourmet but just solid fries like you'd get at most fast food places or amusement parks/zoos. We ate these inside but they have ample outdoor and a glass closed in space without air conditioning, too. We have eaten here many times. It's next to the butterfly house and across from the train and stationary caboose. We usually pack our own lunch so that we can eat in the car but it's nice to know we have good alternative options.

The listing should note that you must pay for museum admission to go to the cafe. The menu looked like a great variety for a quick stop but we couldn't get in.

TL DR: A good choice for a quick service meal if you don't want to leave the Museum of Life and Science. Outside of the main building and next to the butterfly house and train depot on the museum campus you'll find this little cafe. Several types of wraps and salads are available as well as fountain drinks and treats. Bathrooms (with changing stations) are next to the cafe. However if you need to use the changing stations and can wait I would suggest the main building second floor for the large private family bathrooms. Don't expect anything exotic at the cafe but what is here is good and portions that will fill you up so you can enjoy the rest of your day at the museum. I used to consider it a bit over priced a few years ago until the rest of the world became over priced so now this is just normal priced. If there's no seating at the cafe and it's nice out there are picnic tables a bit further down to the right.

Sprout Cafe is the convenient and fantastic cafe on site at the Museum of Life and Science. They sell drinks and ice cream if you need a refreshment, but they also sell full meals, including kids meals, that are delicious. The barbecue plate is very good. So are all the sandwiches and paninis we've tried. The sides are delicious as well, from healthy options like fruit salad and green beans to traditional fries. Indoor seating is closed at the moment, but there is a lot of outdoor seating at the front and side of the cafe. If those areas are full, there are picnic tables close by at the start of the Dino Trail.

I ordered a chai latte earlier today. It’s hit or miss here, I always order hot and only one worker (the super nice artistic one) makes it hot. I often get it very lukewarm but today I decided, after taking a quick sip, to ask if it was possible to heat it up. The woman working looked at me and said “I heated it, I’m not going to again because I did for as long as my hands could stand” then she turned away. I obviously don’t want anyone burning their hand over my latte, but since they’re always cold maybe they can find a way to remedy their heating process, and she could have also been a bit less rude
