Hidden Charges we were a party of 2 and they charged us large party fee. Food was weird and just Meah.
Food was very good. And it doesn’t take long to serve!
As a Salvadoran I am ashame of this restaurant. The pupusas were not good at all. Specially the curtido and salsa, they use tomato can soup nasty. They charged me $1 for tap water had i know I would had just paid for the refill of horchata lastly they added gratuity for a party of 2 people needless to say never eating here again.
We the the flavors and the atmosphere of the restaurant. Definitely a place you want to visit often
This is a beautiful restaurant nice and elegant from in and outside the food is amazing also the people who assisted me was really nice I 100% recommended it , and also its the best Salvadoran and Honduran food in Durham , I recommend you the pollo con tajadas or típico #2
Found this lovely new restaurant by accident. I had the pleasure of meeting the owners who are also the cooks, receptionist , servers etc etc. This is a family owned business.i learned a little bit about the history on opening the restaurant and found out the owners chose not to sell alcohol for the safety of their guests, customers ; however , the (wife) wanted the look of bar so people could still have the freedom of seating at the bar, to chat with others while waiting for a non alcoholic beverage, an amazing shake or perhaps just eat at the bar like I did without drinking alcohol. I found this concept brave as they know their sells would not be the same without selling alcohol. The family works here, daughter and son, husband and wife. When I visited, the place was opened for about 3 months. I really enjoyed my soups and my shake. This place would also be perfect for small gatherings and events. It is a very large space. I wishA wonderful success to Emely’s restaurant and the entire family for offering Latin/Spanish food in beautiful Durham.
When I entering I'm like....Nice!( The ambience was very well put together)? Then a young gentleman came to the host desk. I informed him this was my first time here and attempted to ask him what various items were on the menu (most items are in Spanish) on which he could not explain and it seems like he was annoyed that I asked two questions. (Mine you... the two things that I wanted the gentleman stated "no one ever orders that" so he couldn't tell me how it tasted). So I ask what's their popular dish....he pointed put the pupusas. Another lady comes up to assist, she didn't speak to me she just said "is that it". I'm like yes... although I wanted to try more, their attitudes where a bit weird.... not welcoming at all. I waited over 30 minutes for a small to-go order and end up having to ask for a refund because when I asked how much longer would it be, they told me they "didn't know". They ended up only having 1 of 3 items I ordered ready which were the "pupusas". When I arrived home the pupusas were super basic....the presentation was wack! I feel that "to-go" orders still should be packaged nicely.... it shows that you care about the presentation of your food items...even for To-Go customers. The employees demeanor and knowledge of menu options for non-spanish speaking customers needs to improve. I was excited to see a new restaurant in that area but left disappointed. I'm all of second chances because maybe today was just a bad day for them.... so I'll try back again in a month or two.... hopefully management will get these glitches resolved.
The food has no flavor. My soupa de mariscos had no marisco, just crab and shrimp. My husband got the pollo con tajadas and it barely had pollo and it had no flavor and had like 4 pieces of pollo and the rest was tajadas. So disappointed.
Very very clean. Service and food is amazing. I wasn't expecting this at all but definitely understood the assignment. Fantastic ice tea and pink lemonade.
They can’t speak English and the menu is in Mexican for a bar with no dranks food nasty dry and tuff the man at register ask to see my social security card I thank they running a sweat shop with illegal Mexican the salsa is tomato paste I wouldn’t wish this place on my worst enemy they want be open long

food was not flavorful , the salsa is tomato paste, they have a bar but don't make drinks because its a christian , they pray for you before you come and leave they sell Hispanic candles , and there menu is only in Spanish. I will never eat there again. sorry but not sorry.

Absolutely wonderful experience. The service was friendly and they sure we had everything we needed. Prices were also fantastic. My husband and I will be back very soon!
