You can either charge an exorbitant 20% service fee for basic counter service or you can beg for tips on the tablet. Doing both is beyond the pale and truly shameful behavior. The food is good, but scamming your customers by pressuring them to essentially tip 40-50% (if they tip in addition to the outrageously high fee) is disgraceful. It should be illegal.Edit: Calculating it out, it's around 15% before taxes, so I assume you also charge an insanely high credit card fee. Include the cost of paying your employees and credit card company in the price of the food if it's not an optional cost. You know, like every real restaurant already does. You still aren't telling the truth here. I was charged $17.15 for a $14 crunchwrap. That is not a 10% fee + taxes. That is a full 23% more than the advertised price. Last time I checked we don't have a 13% sales tax in Durham. You need to just charge what it costs and stop trying to pretend your food isn't overpriced. Do you like it when Ticketmaster lies about the prices on their tickets? Of course not. But you're doing the exact same thing and taking advantage of your customers.

Crunchwrap has sooo much potential but for me personally, the chicken cubes are way too big and makes it awkward/messy to eat properly. For this reason, I asked if they wouldn't mind chopping it smaller for my toddler and I to enjoy together and there were 3 men in the back doing absolutely nothing and just flat out said no. That was super disappointing! I would have been happy to leave them a tip too! Bummer! Hope others enjoy.

The barbacoa crunch wrap was reasonably tasty but not amazing. It dripped on my pants and table as I ate it. (I had my computer open on my table.) It was expensive at $14 before a mandatory service charge. The food hall itself is loud.I asked the cashier for a recommendation and named two choices I was thinking about. I told me of the best seller, walked me through options, including noting that the special is available until selling out, twice, but never made a recommendation or said if the special had sold out. It's like he didn't understand what a recommendation is.I may go back but I may try a different vendor in the food hall next time.Parking: Limited pair street parking is nearby.

One the most insanely delicious gems in the entire state! My team and I literally dream about these grinds. You MUST hit your Crunchwrap with that double dip sha boing with the Avocado Salsa + Schmaltz Hot Sauce for a true interplanetary experience.Aside from the unbelievable food… Marshall, Chef Dallas, and their crew are some of the BEST folks in the game. Eat Ex Voto or don’t even leave the house ❤️

My friend and I visited Durham food hall on a weekday evening. The ambiance was very dim and empty inside the hall. There weren't many customers when we arrived, but we were luckily able to order right away. I ordered the beef barbacoa Crunchwrap which was delicious! I loved the crusted cheese on the outside and the strong flavors of the wrap. Overall, we had a great experience and will definitely be back.

Highly recommend. I always take my out of town friends/family here, and recommend the short rib crunch wrap and it’s always a hit. It’s so good and it’s heavy. I’ve had the bowl before and it was OKAY i my opinion, they also give you a lot. But the Crunchwraps are the way to go. Guac and chips are also good. It’s not only a lot of food but it’s so tasty!

Great choice in food hall in Durham ! My husband got a bowl. He said it was super fresh, and delicious. A little bit of a wait- but it was a weekend at lunchtime! Love that they give you real silverware and glasses to drink from. Classy food hall!!

I highly recommend this hip Mexican restaurant located in Durham Food Hall! I had the chicken crunch wrap and it was amazing! It has a crunchy cheese top and it’s packed with tomatoes, cheese, and sauce! I did the To-Go option and pick up was so easy!

This might be the best burrito I have ever had. I was in town for work and originally got a chicken bowl but didnt get to finish it and someone threw it away. But it left such a lasting impact I just had to go back. So I got a burrito because I was driving back to Charlotte and needed to eat and drive (don't judge me). The burrito was so amazing. I got back to Charlotte and was so sad that there was no where I felt I could get just as good of a burrito at in Charlotte. Please do yourself the favor and get anything from here, it is all good.

Got their most popular option which is the Short Rib Barbacoa Crunchwrap which came with braised beef short rib, pickled onions and jalapenos, some queso cheese and veggies. It was also served with their hoop cheese which is essentially a cheese crust on the outside of the tortilla. The short rib was nice and tender but it was pretty bland and could use a ton of salsa. I think this had a lot of potential but the juices from the pico de gallo made the tortilla really soggy despite having a cheese outer shell. I kinda just ate around the tortilla. Can't quite compare to a crunch wrap supreme from taco bell.... It's inside of a food hall hall which had plenty of seating. I like how they have communal water, napkins and utensils everywhere.

We had an absolutely world-class experience with this restaurant. We were in town for a couple of days and were really looking to experience Durham's rich and eclectic culinary scene. We had several locals point us toward ex-voto at the durham food hall. The food was unparalleled with anything else we had during our visit. The shrimp was VERY fresh, flavorful, and honestly, perfectly cooked. You can tell they have an A+ kitchen staff. The manager, Dallas, seriously took care of us and made sure we had everything we needed. We were actually running late for our flight, but didn't want to leave town without trying this restaurant. I figured I'd call ahead to see if I could place an order for pick up on the way to the airport. Not only did Dallas accommodate us, but he even offered to bring it out to us so we wouldn't have to stop. We will definitely be dining in next time.HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I had a few of these homemade crunch wraps here and here’s my thoughts. The barbacoa one was one of the best things I ever put in my mouth. I’ve gone to Michelin Star restaurants with less flavor and deliciousness than that freaking wrap. The meat and everything in it is just perfect, I was blown away and almost dropped my wrap. The next day I got one with chorizo and chicken…it was ok. Dry and a solid 3/5. But that first one was freaking nuts
