I visited this place today as I’ve gotten Cake slices from them in a past visit. The cake slices are served at $10 per slice which is grossly over priced for a small slice of 3 tier cake of any kind in spent over $46 in cake slices on that visit.
On today there was a food sale from a couple that owns Wings Turkey BBQ they advertise large plates of stuffed turkey wings on IG and TikTok with 2 sides, the lady that rung me up was extremely rude totally unprofessional dealing, and assumed I wanted double sides of greens and never gave me a chance to place an order someone from the back brought a plate up already bagged and she through the credit card pinpad up with $32 on it and told me to swipe, I said can I at least say what I want she told me that’s all we got left, I was baffled I said I don’t want a plate you had set aside that someone else didn’t purchase so now you’re selling to me, she assured me it was made fresh. I looked in the plate and it’s horrible just left over scraps of food they should’ve sold to anyone. I called and asked if I could bring it back and she talked over me on the phone and said I’m sorry you feel that way we cook fresh to order everyday. She abruptly hung up on me. I will never buy food from here or visit this place again. Please BEWARE.
Great cakes and cupcakes- moist and rich!! Southern comfort food 💯
Recently had a slice of their cake at a Business Expo my church hosted and their cake was absolutely out of this world. We had 3 different cakes slices and with each one they kept getting better and better. The lemon cake was our absolute favorite- so moist and fresh! Highly recommend!
I must say when he first came out of prison the cake was delicious. I don’t know if you got somebody else new baking them, but they’re not as moist as it used to be.
It was excellent!!!
It’s definitely not worth $9 a slice. Publix chocolate cake is way better. I don’t mind pricey food but their cake is def overrated an overpriced.
No pictures but the Red Velvet Cheesecake was pretty good
Saw this company on some Facebook ads for NC state fair, so I screenshot it because I knew we were going the next day! We visited yesterday, the last day of fair and I found her! OF course I stopped!! We got Strawberry Crunch and Birthday Cake. It was amazing!! The cake texture was spot on, soft a fluffy! The icing was great also!! I wish I would've gotten a couple more lol! I didn't even get a picture of mine, the strawberry crunch lol It was gone! If I'm ever back up that way, I'd love to visit the store front!
Excellent cakes and customer service too! I arrived after the store was closed, Mr Hester opened the door and allowed me to make a purchase! Thank you so much! We enjoyed our cakes.
I wish I had pictures, but the red velvet cake here is hands down my favorite! I tried this bakery a few years ago and wasn’t impressed, but after tasting their red velvet cake at a friend’s party recently, I was blown away. A few weeks later, I had one of Favor’s cakes at Soul Forking Good and instantly recognized that same amazing flavor—which sent me straight to the Favor storefront for more. This time, I tried the strawberry crunch cake, which was rich, moist, and indulgent (though a bit buttery for my taste), and of course, my all-time favorite—the red velvet. The staff were friendly, and the shop was spotless.

Pound for pound
This was not worth the travel from Raleigh to Durham. $10 a slice not the portions illustrated on social media. I ordered three different flavors. Strawberry crunch was dense, cold and taste like colored flour. I'm disappointed.
The customer service was outstanding. To me the taste of the cakes have changed since the new location. I was not really as excited after tasting the strawberry crunch.
I was disappointed the price by far out weighed the taste. $20.00 for 2 slices that was less than 🫤
Great assortment of deserts and excellent customer service from Karen! This is now my spot whenever I have a sweet tooth or celebration! Thanks again!
My family and I visited this dessert shop on multiple occasions, and we were disappointed by the lack of customer service. Despite spending a significant amount of money, the owner never acknowledged us or thanked us for our business, even when we were leaving. We also found the prices to be quite high, with one slice of cake costing $9. We didn't spend a little bit of money, it was a hefty amount! The owner claimed this was due to the high cost of eggs, but this doesn't seem to align with the current market. Given the shop's location, it seems to have little competition, which might be a factor in its business practices. We believe that true success comes from appreciating your customers. This is the result of supporting a black owned business!
