I love fire house always order their subs. However, this experience was probably one of the worst ,stuck here at work I decided to order through DoorDash once I receive my food in a timely manner upon opening the sealed bag and pulling out my sub , I see a long piece of black hair sticking out of the box. Immediately I called the Restaurant and ask who has long black hair… The cashier proceeded to lie and say nobody there has long black hair, so I decided to investigate on my own upon arriving at the store 10 minutes later, I noticed the lady who is fixing this food, and who answered the phone has the long black hair that was in my food… She was not empathetic, nor was she sorry about it, and her make up look like it was peeling off of her face… How can somebody with that type of appearance be working around food also be working without a hairnet, totally unsanitary and highly disappointment.

First of all my sandwich was made wrong and had to be remade (that was minor). The evening we ate there the Coca-Cola freestyle was out of almost every regular drink. Sprite Coke mountain dew etc was all out! Will you ask the girl working there if she could refill the machine and she said she did not know how and that we could take drinks out of the cooler which had Coca-Cola bottled water and Sprite. So we got cokes in an hour sandwiches. With the Coca-Cola freestyle you could get refills so I went to get another Coke for everyone and was stopped by the other person working there she said that we could only have one Coke! That is not right because if they had bothered to feel the freestyle machine we could have had multiple cokes. The owner of this location needs to make sure he has staff that is properly trained to make sure everything is properly stocked at all hours when the store is opened.

Went in for my usual when i witnessed a lady being racist to the employees with the phrase "thats why yall are going back to where you came from", im taking time out of my night because ive been coming here for 5 years already and have always experienced great food and great customer service that i felt really bad for the employees. Lady kept asking for owners cell Phone number which employees responded that they werent allowed to do that which caused her more anger that she started threatning to call coorporation and health department. Lady was unbelievable, Hope coorporation sees this

Been coming for years but might have to pass on this location. In the past the bread was toasted and the meat hot now you get cold bread and even colder meat. Last visit was black gentleman and young lady with lashes who took my order. Within seconds the sub was "ready" and instead of bringing it to the table like in times past now the shout your name and lay it up on the counter nearly as far away as the cash register. Sub was cold bread was cold and a miniscule pickle spear all for nearly $14. Never again..

Went to order and By far this location has the great customer service; Girl at the register is very respectful and helpful. Ladies making your sub greet you on your way in and always smiling very kind. It is a bit boring i wanted to dine in but there was nothing fun on Tvs, no music and i was told they weren’t allowed to switch channels or put music. Other than that i had a great experience and food was great

On 5/30/2024, I arrived at this Firehouse sub location to place orders for fellow nurses at Duke Hospital. The two Hispanic ladies that were working there seems to be annoyed and unwilling to assist. I tried to place my 3 orders, but the lady taking my order had me repeat the order 5 times. After which she pretended to not understand English. I understand they were an hour out before closing, but they were still open. Frustrated at the situation, I looked her in the eye realizing what she was actually doing. I told the lady nevermind. As I turned to walk away, I could hear them both laughing and speaking in spanish to one another. At which point I became discussed at the fact that they would discriminate against another minority with them being minorities themselves. I came back inside determined to place my order after wasting time and gas. At this point the two ladies totally ignored me. I spoke up saying, so you aren’t going to acknowledge me here as the customer trying to place an order? The original lady who was giving me a hard time looked at me and rolled her eyes. I then asked for the managers number yet she continued to ignore me and my request. After 7 mins of me stating that they are still open, she finally came over being very combative , and started to take my order. At this time the other lady that was sweeping the floor, spoke to her in Spanish and she then turned back to me smiling as she said she was closed and laughed. I intend to take this all the way up to corporate. This is just the first step, but I wanted to make the manager and public aware of this discrimination. We are now also planning to boycott this location.

So for the first time ever, my husband and I decided to order pickup from Firehouse Subs. We select the Erwin Road location. Based on our poor service experience (chips and drinks left off and when I asked about the drinks, I received negative reactions) it will probably be the last time we visit this location. I see there are high ratings on here. I must have visited on the wrong day with the worst crew! To the corporate office: please do cross-training on the 3 ladies who were working at your Erwin Rd location at 1:10 PM; May 31st! You will lose customers if what I experienced today continues! We paid for items we did not receive!

Food was awful..... boiled peppers.. Really???? You can't grill the peppers and onions.... you've lost my business. This was the first time I ever eat here. People have raved about how good the subs were. Philly cheese steak was cold... Bread was the cold and hard and was toasted...... Your wasting your money... especially for12 dollars..... for 1 foot long sub....but I had to pay for 2 that wasn't eaten.....

An excellent experience overall. It certainly shows that they earned this 4.4/5. Tasty food, clean restaurant and nice folks.

Walked in to an employee sitting at one of the tables on break, and she was blasting videos on her phone. I voiced my displeasure about it to the other two employees, who were understanding and pleasant. We didn't dine in because of the noise. Food was great, but I'll not be going back to this location if employees are allowed to treat their place of employment like home.
